Today was a whirlwind of emotions for me. I felt hurt, sad, pissed and anxious, all for different reasons. It was a whole lot and it really weighed me down. There was also a momentary feeling of fear in the midst of all this thanks to Panda.

It was crazy how Panda had me worried today. Sometimes she does things that get me bothered but today tops it all so far. So this afternoon, I got back home from grocery shopping and I let Panda out to go do her business. 

Some minutes later we heard her crying and that was very weird. It wasn't the usual 'let me back in' type of cry, this sounded like something bad was happening to her. My husband opens the door and Panda runs inside in a panic. 

It was the fastest I'd ever seen her run and she couldn't even run straight because she kept trying to get rid of something on her butt. In split seconds she made it to me from the door and I held her, trying to look for what was on her body. 

She relaxed a bit and I saw something brown on her body. At this point, I freaked out because I thought something had either bitten her or was stuck in her body. I had seen her go close to little scorpions before so I was worried if she had encountered one.

The thing on her body looked scaly and I screamed 'lizard' and stepped back for my husband to check it out. He checks it and says it's just shit. Like what?! What do you mean it's just shit? Like poo? 😩 He says yes, Panda probably had a hard time pooing and it was stuck to her fur which made her freak out.

He tried getting it off with toilet paper but it wasn't working so I took her to the bathroom for a bath. First, I used wet toilet paper to clean her butt area and I was able to get some of the shit out. It was a tough process and I almost puked because of the smell.

I understand now why Panda freaked out. Her shit smells so bad and she hates bad smells. That smell hit me so hard but I continued because I wanted to bring her out of her misery as soon as possible. It also felt new for her having something foreign stuck there so she panicked. 

I gave her a bath afterwards and wiped her butt very well with her sponge. Of course, I had shit on my hands, it couldn't be avoided. She also gave me a hard time during the bath and I had to hold her still.

My fear, and everything else I felt turned to laughter when I thought about it all and my mood changed. This dog really panicked because of shit stuck to her fur and I panicked too because, for a second, I feared my little doggy was going to die.
