<div class="text-justify">Prayer is the key as the popular saying goes. I believe everyone here has prayed before and we believe our prayers were heard and answered. Anyway be it, was the prayer a standard one? Was it said the right way? Well, these are some of the questions we should ask ourselves before we say a prayer to the father. The good news is, these questions were all answered by our brother, Eli. He gave some very nice elaborations on how we should pray so our prayers can reach our heavenly Father. There is indeed the right way to do everything. Even the disciples once asked Jesus, Rabbi, please teach us how to pray and they were taught. There is an answer to everything. The problem is where to get the right answers from. Thankfully, we have brother Eli who is well equipped with the knowledge of the Bible. And, has been taking us through some really great teachings. And this time round, I was once privileged to grab some wisdom from his teaching on the right way to pray. Join me as I share what I learnt from his teaching on the right way to pray. I believe you will love it.

Prayer is a communication with our heavenly father. It is a way a child of God speaks to his Father in heaven concerning issues bothering him or a way of offering thanksgiving and praises to Him. It is good to communicate with the Father always. It draws us closer and closer to Him. What happens when you have this particular person you communicate with more often? You guys become close friends. There are instances where people fall in love with each other without knowing just because they communicate a lot. Hence, prayer is a way to develop a close relationship with God. But, it must be done in the right way as said earlier. This life is full of troubles, problems and anxieties. How do we deal with this problem? By making them known to our heavenly father. He is the only one who has an answer for us. He is the only one that can solve these problems. That is why it is good to pray. No need to be troubled, all we need is to take all the problems to our father in prayers and supplications. He is a good Father and ready to provide the solutions to His children. 

>Philippians 4:6

>Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplications with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God.

Prayer can be said anywhere at any time. It doesn’t have to be a specific place or a particular time. It can be said in times of a serious natural disaster, war, accident etc. It can be a prayer to God to deliver you from any of the listed above encounters or even more. Or it can be a prayer of salvation, breakthroughs in life and so on. These are all requests and that is what prayer means. In all these, faith is the most important thing to consider. One must have faith whenever he prays. One must have faith that his prayers have been answered and it shall come to pass. Hence with faith, we must diligently seek Him in prayers. He will listen to our prayers and do them for us as a good Father.

>Hebrews 11:6

>But without faith, it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God and believe that he is, and that he is that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

We are to ask God everything with strong faith and no doubt involved because He is the God who only deals with people with faith. If one prays to the father with doubt in his mind, then I am sorry to say, your prayers may not be answered. Praying in faith means not accommodating any negative thoughts during a prayer section. The Bible says such a person will not receive anything from the Lord. Having such a mind set during prayer is like behaving like a sea. It is driven by the waves and tossed up and down anyhow. This is what hinders our prayers from being answered. This is because God has made it clear in His word that prayers of people without faith and not answered. Faith is something very crucial when it comes to prayer being answered. It is required of everyone who prays to have strong faith that their prayers are being answered by the Father and it can be done.
## James 1:6-7
>6. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

 >7. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.
