**Daisy and the little birdie**

Stretching my tired limbs I yawned, cleaning off the tears that glisten in my eyes. I bent my neck to both sides and it gave a cracking sound, flexing my fingers which has been on the keyboard all day, I clicked the publish button and had my story uploaded right away.

Standing up from the chair in which I sat, l stretched my body and walked around my two-room wooden apartment which is in a secluded area of the big city.

"Where are you?" I asked, waiting for the meow sound of my cat but I was left with my question unanswered. 

Walking back to my computer I picked up my phone which was beside it and I walked around in search of my cat. 

After minutes of searching around, I panicked, oh my goodness, did Daisy leave me for being a bad owner I reasoned out loud as I opened the adjacent door leading to my front yard.

I should have been named "Bad owner" instead of Ella, closing the door, I walked forward but stopped midway through, cleaning my eyes just to be sure I saw the right thing, holding onto the laughter that brew within my soul, I unlocked my phone and took a picture of the scenery before me.

Standing there was Daisy with a funny frown look on her staring at the blackbird that stood at its front which seems to be of keen interest as it stared back.

My legs moved toward them but I stopped again seeing how none of them moved at the sound of my leg which brought in a crazy imagination of mine on what their eyes discussion was all about, after all, we are said to be higher animals by the scientist.

"Why are you so tiny and black, I can barely see you?" I imagined Daisy asking the little bird.

In reply, the little bird responded, "Says the man with a crazy color and a fat body." Mocked back the bird.

"The blackness of your color must have darkened your eyes and sense of reasoning as I am a lady and not a man." Replied Daisy adding more frown to her already frowned-up face.

"Are you sure you are one? because the frown you've been wearing all-day states otherwise" the little bird replied.

And I found the held laughter came out uncontrollably at my thought. Taking another step forward, I picked up Daisy who doesn't seem to like me very much for the laugh. But that didn't stop me from waving goodbye to the bird which in my imagination I saw as it bowed in return.

Laughing more, I turned around and walked back inside as I had Daisy fed and back to my computer to write, as this imagination of mine cannot be kept in but told to the world of a writer who can converse with a cat and a blackbird.

Once upon a time, there lived a family of the daws. Gregarious and quite sociable as they have been around since after the incident of deforestation and wildfire. My family consists of my father, my mother, and three siblings. My elder brother hasn't come back after a hunt he set out on for a long time although his return is anticipated so we are left with my other elder brother and my youngest self.

Mom said that I was too fragile since my birth because I am the last of her offspring. I was coddled so much to see me live longer cause they ain't sure that my survival mode can beat it. Well, they failed! I'm more robust than they think! That mythology needs to be obliterated!! ... I think I would be the first to erase that crap ... I am not acknowledging that superstitious belief!

Mom doesn't know I always creep out of the nest to catch up with the terrestrial lifestyle. I rather enjoyed the atmosphere, tranquility, and freedom I experienced there than to be choked up inside that holed-up nest.


Each time I am in my leisure habitat, I have this profound liberty and extraordinary euphoria. The passionate feelings of relaxation happen when I fly down at that spot flapping my wings to shake off dust sitting at the the surface of the flat rock. Soon after that, I Lay down facing the bright sky and my blueish wings calmly resting on the surface.

Family hunting usually takes two to three days maximum to return home, this is the fifth day and no one is yet to show up home.  Food reserved for my sustenance is exhausted, at least I have a tangible reason to creep out.

When I got to my usual leisure spot, I met this cute cat. What she was doing at my spot is what I can't fathom. I tried to be gentle for her to move away but she is feeling reluctant and all cozy...

 [**Jack**](): *frowns and calls out*, ... *jack-jack*

[**Cat**:]()  purrs...

[**Jack**](): *flies a bit high flapping wings to scare her away*

<p>

[**Cat**](): purrs loudly and lets out a long yawn...

<p>

[**Jack**](): Hey you! move away now!!

<p>

[**Cat**](): maintains her gaze...

<p>

[**Jack**](): *rattled by her presence his anger escalates*...  are you judging me by my height and status?...he asked ironically.
I will deal with you that you will never come back here ever again.
I am dangerous and can cause you great pain if you don't leave here right away.

[**Cat**](): ... unshaken by his words...her eyes fixated on him pitifully.

[**Jack**](): It's not what you think! ... I'm harmless you know?... Talking about being harmful, can I even lift a finger huh?.. You know what, just adjust a little to enable me to take a break for a while.

I want you to have plausible deniability boss, don’t worry about it. He has eaten his last bowl of bird seed I can say that. No details. 

:Don: 
Just remember what happens to those who cross me. If you think of crossing me or turning an informant you will wish you were dead. 

:crow:
Don’t worry Don, I promise you don’t have to worry about me. I like being alive thank you.
