I want to thank you for being a part of the #MarketFriday Challenge. I have personally found there is always so much to learn about people, where they live, and how things are done in different parts of the world. For me, reaching out across the globe and learning about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, has been such a rewarding experience.  We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the rituals, festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... and what is normal for us? There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground.  I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. We *do* differ in many ways, which makes us interesting and unique, but, there are many ways in which are so much alike.

Hi friends. I don't know if it is allowed to make a story with the four photos at the same time, but a scene has just occurred to me in which all the species shown by @armasdiaze, @anzirpasai, @papilloncharity and @buckaroobaby, participate.

Bob, the buzzard.
Each species reacts differently to the arrival of Bob the Buzzard.
The pigeons on the roof are cute, but extremely skittish, to the point that poor Bob, the vulture who is the personification of gentleness, just walked up and they flew away scared. Meanwhile, from a flowery bower, Zenaida, the flirtatious little dove, does not flinch, but looks with a little indifference, because for her it is more important to be pretty and in the right place in case there is someone out there with a camera taking photos . She, with her flirtatiousness, alludes to her scientific name, so feminine, but she is good and she knows how to recognize that Bob is a large but peaceful bird.
Nearby is a family of white headed bulbul, who enjoy being together carefree, because they are very faithful to their partners, relatives and careful with their offspring. But Pedro, one of the sons, had to check his armpits to see if the deodorant had left him..

# My story title: **[The nonentity bird and the Princess]()**
 There was a small village called Birdelik. The Village was known as a natural bird farm where most tourists and people from the cities would visit for bird watching. There was one main entrance road to the village where villagers used to showcase their crafts and sell wild fruits to the visitors and this helped some to make money to support their families. The most occurring birds in that village were Dove, white-eared bulbul and Zamuro. From all these three species, the villagers despised the Zamuro bird and associated it with bad luck and a dark spirit because of its colour. There was a myth in the village that if one spots it in their yard, they will receive bad news within seven days if they do not catch it and keep it in the cage for seven days and seven nights.

### **[The inheritance]()**
The King of the Birdelik village had three wives. The first wife was his first love and she couldn't give him an heir but only had two daughters. While the other two wives each had 2sons and 1 daughter. One day the king called in the whole village to witness when he divides his wealth among his wives and children. The two wives couldn't hold themselves but busted into laughter when the king gave the first wife and her two daughters the Zamuro birds. He said from now on that is their inheritance from the village. Villagers were also supportive saying she deserved the bird since she is bad luck to the palace and couldn't fulfil a simple task and give the king a son. The first wife felt humiliated but her daughters comforted her. Then the king gave the second wife ownership of the Doves and the third wife the White-eared bulbul, these were the most paying birds in the village.

### **[The new village leader]()**
Two months down the line, the villagers were summoned to the palace and learnt that the king was battling lung cancer. There was no hope for him to recover anytime soon if there is even a chance for the treatment to work. The king added that since his health is fading he wants the next ruler to take over. The King delegated the eldest daughter of his first wife to rule the village. Villagers and the other two wives were furious that this was against their tradition to be led by a woman. The King told them anyone who was against his wish will be banished from the village. All the villagers had no choice but to obey. 

During the inauguration, the village elders who were called "witnesses" asked the princess to make any wish. The princess's response was she only had one special request that the villagers should report anyone who captures or harm the Zamuro bird. The bird should be allowed to roam around and if one doesn't want it in their yard, they should chase it away. Anyone who keeps the bird in the cage will pay a fine by sharing half of their crop yields or income which will be split among the widows and orphans in the village. The villagers got rebellious under the influence of the two wives and they accused the princess to be bad luck at the palace just like her mother. They continued to cage the Zamuro birds for 7days and seven nights if found in their yard. 

### **[The princess's orders and king's breakthrough]()**
One day the princess called her guards and instructed them to go to every house and search if there is anyone who is keeping the Zamuro in the cage. The guards came back with 10 Zamuro who were hurt and bleeding from the poor handling by villagers when trying to capture them. They also reported that some were left starving for those seven days since villagers believed that anyone who fed the Zamuro birds will be nurturing the dark spirits in them. The princess was furious and she called those villagers to pay their fine. Being an aspiring veteran, the princess took charge and treat the wounds of the birds. She used the traditional herbs to care for the birds, but she didn't notice that one of the bird's blood was dripping into the king's fermented grape juice placed under the table she was using. When the king drank that juice, his health improved over the next seven days and seven nights. The King's body was starting to fight cancer cells and the Zamuro fluid had enhanced his immune. It turns out the Zamuro bird was believed to treat cancer. 

### **[The fate of the Zamuro bird]()**
The following year the village was hit by drought for two consecutive years and a lot of villagers who couldn't afford to move their livestock to rent the nearest farms lost their livestock. The doves and white-eared bulbul also migrated from the village and there were barely any left for bird watching. But then all the Zamuro birds stayed feeding on carcasses of the starved animals and from the village dumping site. By the end of the drought, the Zamuro birds had multiplied since there were fewer animals to prey on them too. The Birdelik village was trending on all social media platforms, in news headlines and documentaries titled "Zumuro birds cleaning up the village after a severe drought while all other birds migrated from the village but this species was resilient. 

This attracted a lot of international tourists, nature documentaries and researchers to come and study the Zamuro birds. There was a contractual agreement between the birdelik village and the state, which agreed on the state to buy Zamuro birds every year to manage their population in the village. The princess agreed on one condition the birds are only allowed to be distributed and exported to nature reserves where they can still roam freely and not be kept in cages or Zoos or even sold as pets. She also made one exception that they could be used for educational purposes but without harming the bird. The princess desired the birds to still live freely even if they were to be moved from their village as this symbolized their inheritance and freedom in the palace. All these benefits were to be passed on to the next generation for the first wife's bloodline. Although the first wife was sweet enough to share, the other two wives were left with no inheritance as the Doves and the White-eared bulbil never returned. Now the villagers started calling the Zamuro bird: the luck charm bird. When one sees it in their yard, it meant there will be good news in the next seven days if you feed the bird!
