The tragedy of the commons is purely a hypothetical, it was never a problem.

The problem of dealing with reward pool rape is that singing kumbaya won't make it go away. Violence is not Downvoting. Violence is not Flagging.  Patience won't work at stopping the abuse, it's the abuse of patience. The freedom to rape, independent of consequence, self-sufficient like a parasite and engaging like haijij. Even if everyone was built up, simply voting for oneself with a large account will be seen as unfair, day in and day out, granted I use "built up" only in the sense of account power.

I agree. Keeping the collective good in mind is what Steemit should be all about.

I love how you have applied this understanding. It means so much to have our understanding of the undertones of war in violence in everything we encounter. Words matter...they are the underpinning of how we understand the world around us. And, they influence us so very much. When we descend into even depicting something as a war...it influences the ways we interact and perceive others. This is the topic of my next post. I look forward to sharing it and adding to the discourse around abandoning the notion of war.

Nature has a way of restoring balance in all things while everything carries on about its business as usual. It takes time though and often we don't even notice that the change is happening because of the gradual nature of it. However, I think people have an innate urge to see immediate change and when the desired result is too far in the future, they feel certain it isn't coming and feel the need to take drastic action. 

For me, this can be compared to the steemit platform. As you said, @taskmaster4450's analysis shows a trend that it was naturally starting to even out. I believe that given time and with people rewarding the behavior they want, rather than punishing the behavior they don't want, a balance would be reached. Reward has more affect on behavior than punishment which is more likely to incite rebellion. Often, just turning your back on bad behaviour can be punishment enough.

By flagging rather than upvoting, all I can see is that nobody is gaining and everyone involved is losing. Which is the general result of all war.

Indeed, the Steemit community is a microcosm of the world at large. And we find ourselves confronted  with the same issues that threaten us outside of this realm. However, here, it seems to me, we have a greater opportunity, a greater potential to counter the forces of darkness (for that is what they are)  with the power of light. My point of reference and past experience may be different than yours but the ultimate goal is the same: to nurture and grow within myself the Abundant Heart, and from that source influence the world at large, and more particularly the world of Steemit. 

One of the great laws is that there must be opposition in all things. Light/dark, fear/love, greed/abundant giving, ego/oneness, etc. Through a  lifetime(s) long evolution of soul we have chosen to serve the Light by being the Light. Has not this been the story of humanity...the constant confrontation between Light and Dark? In a rather scriptorial voice may I say then, Let us be champions of Light and let this light be the standard of Steemit. We have not come to this place, this moment, by accident, but rather have been drawn to it to serve, as best we, can the power of Love. 

Let it be so.

I love what you're trying to acheive here. It's highly commendable. however, whether there are millions on the platform now, it wouldnt matter. one person is taking  a ridiculous size of the pie. and even if we get millions into the platform and everything reduces, the value increases and it's still the same thing.

Steemit is started for  to supporting to each others but you also point out some lacks and behaviors of peoples in this beautiful platform. I am fully and highly agreed with your assessments and advises and impressed with your these words. I know you are the man of Principles and always wrote quality content, spreading Peace and Love. I appreciate your positive behaviour.

Everybody was living free and happy until the political scenario came  and divide the humanity into pieces. Yes, i am pointing it to Feudal Lords who divided the society into two classes the Elite and the Working one, just for their own purpose. This thing leads dependency and destruction  for the commons overall. You beautiful sited the solution of this problem and i am fully agreed !

I think leading by example if the way forwards, and your posts help to illuminate that way. I often have problems with impulse and a lack of critical thinking. I am blessed that my wife has enough for both of us and is generous with it. This platform can only prosper if all work together to boost it above those who seek shortcuts for personal gain, harming the prospects of others in doing so. Sage advice.

It's takes lot more time, patience and energy to build something. Contrarily, destruction takes less of all these things. *unfortunately*, the collective human conscience even in these most advanced times tend to go to negativity easily. Luckily,  we have people who are born to defend humanity from all sort of negativism. However, Steemit is part of the world but can work differently because it's a decentralized platform. Let's  the change begin from here and we'll inspire rest of the world.
