[this.piston.rocks] API will be upgraded to v0.15.0 at 2pm UTC (4. Nov) - downtime approx 30 minutes
This is a service announcement that affects all developers that chose to use `this.piston.rocks` as the API endpoint:

### The API will be upgraded to support the [0.15.0 hard fork](https://steemit.com/steem/@steemitblog/steem-0-15-0-released-hardfork)

The code is already compiled and the binary is waiting to be executed. After the upgrade, the machine will need to do a database reindex wich should take less than 30 minutes to do.
In the meantime, you may want to switch to the [public api cluster run by @jesta](https://steemit.com/steemws/@jesta/steem-ws-the-public-steem-api-cluster):

    wss://node.steem.ws

If you use piston, you can change the default API endpoint by running:

    piston set node wss://node.steem.ws

The upgrade succeeded, however it took 50 minutes to reindex. Looking forward to see chainbase running on steemit!

Is Piston update still compatible with Golos ? 

They merged get_discussions_by_blog() and get_discussions_by_comments() already but I am not sure about the rest...

piston (the library) doesn't use these calls at all IIRC .. it could .. and we can work on distinguishing networks automatically and thus use different calls ..
