This Sunday was one of those days that stay etched in memory for a long time. A simple day, yet full of significance and love. Yesterday, we celebrated my aunt's birthday, who is also my godmother. To me, she's more than a relative; she's like a mother. So today, we decided to extend the celebrations with a lunch at her house.

The day started early for us. My mother, my boyfriend (@michupa), and I, along with my aunt and her husband, gathered at her house to prepare everything. The atmosphere in the kitchen was lively. As we chopped ingredients and prepared dishes, we shared stories and laughter. It was as if time stood still, and only the present moment mattered.

The lunch menu was simply divine. We prepared a feast that lived up to the rich culinary tradition of Minas Gerais. Boiled chicken, fluffy rice, hearty beans, crunchy sausage stuffing, a delicious potato salad with shredded chicken, corn, olives, and peas. And to top off this gastronomic feast, we couldn't miss the delicious polenta, a true regional specialty that I love.

As we indulged in the food prepared with so much love and dedication, conversations flowed naturally. We talked about everything: from childhood memories to plans for the future. There was no room for worries or stress, just joy and gratitude for being together in that moment.

After lunch, we decided that we couldn't end the day without a special dessert. So my mother, my aunt, and I joined forces in the kitchen to prepare a banana and apple cake. It was a simple recipe, yet full of flavor and affection (I'll post about it soon). As we mixed the ingredients and waited for the cake to bake, we continued our conversations, sharing stories as if there were no tomorrow.

Finally, the long-awaited moment arrived: time to savor the freshly baked cake. The delicious aroma wafting through the kitchen was irresistible. Every bite was a burst of flavors. And more than that, it was a celebration of my godmother's life, of our love, and of family unity.

Este domingo foi um daqueles dias que ficam guardados na memória por muito tempo. Um dia simples, mas cheio de significado e amor. Ontem, celebramos o aniversário da minha tia, que também é minha madrinha. Para mim, ela é mais do que uma parente; é como uma mãe. Então, hoje decidimos estender as celebrações com um almoço na casa dela.

O dia começou cedo para nós. Eu, minha mãe e meu namorado (@michupa), juntamente com minha tia e seu marido, nos reunimos na casa dela para preparar tudo. O clima na cozinha era de animação. Enquanto cortávamos os ingredientes e preparávamos os pratos, compartilhávamos histórias e risadas. Era como se o tempo parasse, e apenas o momento presente importasse.

O cardápio do almoço foi simplesmente divino. Preparamos um banquete que fazia jus à rica tradição culinária mineira. Frango cozido, arroz soltinho, feijão encorpado, farofa crocante com linguiça, uma deliciosa maionese de batata com frango desfiado, milho, azeitona e ervilha. E para coroar essa festa gastronômica, não poderia faltar o delicioso angu, uma verdadeira especialidade regional que eu amo.

Enquanto nos deliciávamos com as comidas preparadas com tanto amor e dedicação, as conversas fluíam naturalmente. Falamos sobre tudo: desde lembranças de infância até planos para o futuro. Não havia espaço para preocupações ou estresse, apenas alegria e gratidão por estarmos juntos naquele momento.

Após o almoço, decidimos que não poderíamos encerrar o dia sem uma sobremesa especial. Então, minha mãe, minha tia e eu nos unimos na cozinha para preparar um bolo de banana com maçã. Era uma receita simples, mas cheia de sabor e afeto (em breve, faço um post sobre). Enquanto misturávamos os ingredientes e esperávamos o bolo assar, continuamos nossas conversas, compartilhando histórias como se não houvesse amanhã.
