## Mi Día Entre Gusanos

Mi último día no fue precisamente malo, fue simplemente como cualquier otro, fueron las últimas tres horas las que en realidad me gustaría olvidar.

Como parte del cuerpo de biólogos, de la división de ingeniería ambiental, me encontraba estudiando la vida silvestre del planeta C3404c un pequeño mundo que orbita en un sistema binario, alrededor de una estrella blanca, en una orbita intermedia entre ella y su compañera, una enana blanca.

No es un mundo particularmente atractivo, ni hostil ni agradable, es sólo un planeta más, tiene escasa agua y la mayor parte de su superficie está cubierta por un desierto que, aunque bastante seco, tiene una temperatura agradable, su atmósfera es como cualquier otra, con abundancia de nitrógeno y algo de dióxido de carbono y oxígeno, si no fuera por la escaza cantidad de este último, podría ser respirable.

La única peculiaridad de C3404c, es tener una cantidad considerable de formas de vida compleja de diferentes tipos, todas ellas de base de carbono, eso es lo que lo hace especial, son pocos los mundos descubiertos con formas de vida nativas, y la que reviste mayor interés para la división, son los llamados gusanos de cristal.

Como cualquier otro de mis aburridamente tranquilos días, desperté en la nave y después de tomar un poco de café y unos pastelillos de cangrejo, de la maquina generadora, bajé a la superficie del planeta en el trasbordador, la misma diminuta e incomoda nave para dos ocupantes, que usamos todos los biólogos, en mi caso, a diferencia de muchos otros, no requería piloto.

A diferencia de la mayoría de mis días, hoy me correspondía hacer un poco de caminata sobre la superficie del planeta y acercarme a los gusanos a tomar algunas muestras, esto era algo que rara hacía. Por instrucciones del Parlamento, no debíamos intervenir en aquellos planetas con formas de vida nativas. Sin embargo, dado el interés que se tenía en los gusanos, se autorizó a hacerlo como máximo una vez al mes. Siempre que realizara una estricta rutina de esterilización tanto de mi traje, como de la nave; antes y después de realizar la caminata.

Ya en la superficie del planeta estuve por varias horas tomando registros de ,un pequeño grupo de diez gusanos que se encontraban arqueados en medio del desierto, habían unos particularmente grandes, de entre un metro y metro y medio de diámetro y unos diez metros de largo al menos la parte que no estaba enterrada en la arena, formaban arcos bajo los que fácilmente podía pasar erguido.

Son criaturas de lento movimiento y prácticamente indiferentes del mundo que los rodea, pasan toda su vida con ambos extremos de su largo cuerpo enterrados en la arena succionando agua, de la cual absorben las sales y microorganismos, de los que se alimentan.

Caminaba entre ellos, cuando mi tranquilo y monótono día, tomó un funesto e incómodo giro. Uno de los gusanos más grandes, levantó en vertical uno de sus extremos, como acostumbraban a hacer cuando se iban a desplazar de un lugar a otro y lo inclinó al lado contrario para volver a enterarlo en la arena, con la desafortunada coincidencia de que yo me encontraba justo en el lugar donde él clavara su extremo.

Si se hubiese tratado de una roca o un árbol lo que me hubiese caído encima, tal vez hubiera sido mejor, me habría aplastado y ya, pero estos malditos bichos, tienen una estructura sumamente rara, su membrana externa es casi líquida podrías meter una mano en ellos, aunque no lo recomendaría a nadie, casi sin ningún tipo de resistencia y sin tan siquiera lastimarlos, es más, dudo que se den por aludidos. El caso es que, en lugar de aplastarme, lo que hubiera sido más agradable, quede en su interior, atrapado dentro del arco que formo con su extremo clavado justo donde me encontraba yo agachado, tomando muestras.

Ahora dentro de esta curiosa criatura, pude ser testigo, en carne propia, del porque no recomiendo a nadie introducir una mano dentro del cuerpo de uno de ellos, aunque su blando exterior lo permita. El interior de estos gusanos es fundamentalmente un inmenso estómago, en el cual, un gel de hidrocarburos, actúa como medio de absorción de agua y de digestión de los nutrientes y microorganismos disueltos o suspendidos en ella, este gel cumple la función de los jugos gástricos en el estómago humano.

Así que, por tres horas, las tres últimas de mi vida, pude experimentar el aparato digestivo de un gusano de cristal, mientras mi traje espacial se disolvía lentamente y mi piel y carne empezaban a ser digeridas, hasta que finalmente el sistema de soporte vital falló y por fortuna, morí sofocado.

## My Day Into Worms

My last day wasn't exactly bad, it was just like any other, it was the last three hours that I'd really like to forget.

As part of the body of biologists, from the environmental engineering division, I was studying the wildlife of planet C3404c a small world that orbits in a binary system, around a white star, in an intermediate orbit between her and her companion, a white dwarf.

It is not a particularly attractive world, neither hostile nor pleasant, it is only one more planet, it has scarce water and most of its surface is covered by a desert that, although quite dry, has a pleasant temperature, its atmosphere is like any other, with an abundance of nitrogen and some carbon dioxide and oxygen, if it were not for the small amount of the latter, it could be breathable.

The only peculiarity of C3404c, is to have a considerable amount of complex life forms of different types, all of them carbon-based, that is what makes it special, there are few worlds discovered with native life forms, and the one that is of greatest interest for division, are the so-called glass worms. 

Like any other of my boringly quiet days, I woke up in the ship and after having some coffee and some crab cakes, from the generating machine, I came down to the planet's surface on the shuttle, the same tiny and uncomfortable ship for two occupants, which we use all biologists, in my case, unlike many others, did not require a pilot.

Unlike most of my days, today I had to make a little walk on the surface of the planet and approach the worms to take some samples, this was something that was rare. On Parliament's instructions, we were not to intervene on those planets with native life forms. However, given the interest in worms, it was authorised to do so no more than once a month. Provided that I performed a strict routine of sterilisation of both my suit and the ship; before and after the walk.

Already on the surface of the planet I spent several hours taking records of a small group of ten worms that were arched in the middle of the desert, there were some particularly large, between a meter and a meter and a half in diameter and about ten meters long at least the part that was not buried in the sand, formed arches under which I could easily pass upright.

They are creatures of slow movement and practically indifferent of the world that surrounds them, they spend all their life with both ends of their long body buried in the sand sucking water, from which they absorb the salts and microorganisms, of which they feed.

I was walking among them, when my calm and monotonous day took a fatal and uncomfortable turn. One of the biggest worms lifted one of its ends vertically, as they used to do when they were going to move from one place to another and leaned it to the opposite side to find out again in the sand, with the unfortunate coincidence that I was right in the place where he nailed his end.

If it had been a rock or a tree that had fallen on me, perhaps it would have been better, I would have crushed myself and already, but these damned bugs, they have an extremely rare structure, their external membrane is almost liquid you could put a hand in them, although I would not recommend it to anyone, almost without any resistance and without even hurting them, moreover, I doubt that they are alluded to. The fact is that, instead of crushing me, what would have been more pleasant would have been inside, trapped inside the arch I form with its end nailed just where I was bent over, taking samples.

Now inside this curious creature, I could be a witness, in my own flesh, of why I do not recommend anyone to put a hand inside the body of one of them, even if its soft exterior allows it. The interior of these worms is fundamentally an immense stomach, in which a gel of hydrocarbons acts as a means of water absorption and digestion of the nutrients and microorganisms dissolved or suspended in it, this gel fulfills the function of gastric juices in the human stomach.

So, for three hours, the last three of my life, I could experience the digestive tract of a glass worm, while my space suit slowly dissolved and my skin and flesh began to be digested, until finally the life support system failed and fortunately, I died of suffocation.

Once upon the time when the life become unbearable and hard for the people of Igbon, this village has to be an ancient village which never experienced any calamity ever before. Their four fathers make some sacrificed to prevent any evil coming to them.

There was an old man, who has been looking for so long to see her barren women carry his babies, all his effort in ensuring that his wife could gave birth to his babies was failed, but he didn't give up, and in the night age (Oldest age with no hope) the man wife got pregnant, everyone were happy with them. 

Few month Later, the child was born, but surprisingly looked like this kid grow tooth from the womb, when people see this, everyone begin to carry various rumour,   when the information reach the palace, king ordered that such evil such can't live with them in the village, his either the parent throw kill him or they should vacate/pack out of the village, the old man and his decided to relocate to other place.

A year later, Igbon village experienced calamity for the first time, fear scrip Igbon peoples, King  sent for Ifa priest to come help them find out the causes of the calamity which before their land and claimed many lives. Ifa priest told them Igbon village has disowned someone who could help them stop this calamity, Ifa priest told them about this child whose parents and him were ordered to leave the town is the only solution to Igbon village problems.

king disparaged with Ifa priest , King told him to find other means to resolved the Igbon village problems, Ifa priest told them to look for this forsaken kid else the calamity will worsen than before, this king insisted he wont call back the family of this boy back to the Igbon village, so sad, even the king lost his precious life when second calamity befall the village of Igbon.

Elders and community leader went to look for this boy and his family, after several appealing this boy agree to return to his home land, within two to three days, the riddles which none of the Igbon villager couldn't solve, calamity were put to stop, this boy finally became the king of Igbon and throughout his reign there was nothing like calamity again.
