Un humilde campesino decide migrar a una ciudad lejana del campo, despues de un largo trayecto llega hasta una casa lujosa para ofrece al señor de la casa su talento a cambio de comida o algo más. El campesino le comenta al señor que es muy bueno en actividades del campo, el dueño de la casa queda un poco pensativo moviendo la cabeza de un lado a otro, de pronto detiene su mirada hacia un lugar donde solo se observa un gran árbol lleno de ramas de forma desordenadas y sn podar.

Aquel señor le pregunta al campesino, usted es bueno para podar arboles?. -Si, responde aquel humilde visitante.

Tres horas más tarde el campesino un poco cansado llama al patron y le muestra el resultado de su trabajo. Asombrado quedó el señor al ver semejante arte ante sus ojos.

El cual estaría formado por una representación de cada mundo y como sede de este organismo global de gobierno, se seleccionó uno de los más apacibles y céntricos mundos, Heracles, un agradable planeta con sólo dos grandes masas continentales, completamente cubiertas de coloridos bosques, en el cual las únicas siete ciudades existentes ocupaban apenas un 0,005% de la tierra del planeta.

Con el propósito de ser la cede permanente de este parlamento, se empezó la construcción de la novena ciudad de este idílico mundo y se situaría en el continente oriental, el cual hasta la fecha no había sido habitado. Contando sólo con algunas pocas instalaciones turísticas que eran habitadas temporalmente durante la primavera y verano del planeta.

-Saul, cuando hallas cargado el remolque por completo, tomaremos el receso para comer- dijo una voz por el comunicador de Saul, mientras aun estaba absorto operando las pinzas de la deforestadora.

-Entendido ingeniero- respondió Saul, sin prestar mayor atención.

Los árboles desplantados por Saul, eran transportados por un deslizador, que los llevaba en sentido contrario, por el sendero, para replantarlos en el extremo sur del continente en una región con bosques menos densos.

Dos árboles después, Saul detenduvo la máquina como le fue indicado, para tomar el descanso para almorzar. Tras bajar de la gigantesca deforestadora, se sentó en medio del campo, donde lo acompañaron Ricardo y Martha, dos operarios de deslizadores que estaban en la zona a la espera de las cargas de troncos. 

En medio de una amena conversación sobre los resultados de la liga de futbol de Heracles, donde el mejor de los equipos, apenas si calificaría como para jugar en la liga infantil de los otros planetas del sector y tras comer su almuerzo y tomar casi un litro de jugo de naronte, Saul sintió la imperiosa necesidad de vaciar su vejiga.

Tras avisar que debía ir al baño y pedir que no le molestaran, se internó un poco en el bosque en busca de un buen sitio para además de orinar, poder también despejar su intestino, se aproximó a unas rocas en medio de unos grandes árboles y tras verificar que nadie lo había seguido, para hacerle una broma, se dispuso a bajar sus pantalones, cuando se percató de la extraña forma que tenía, lo que le pareció era una pequeña loma o una gran roca, frente a él, estaba cubierta de vegetación, pero tenia una forma que le pareció reconocible, se volvió a abrochar el seguro del pantalón y se aproximó al extraño objeto, recostó su mano y sólo pudo sentir la humedad de la capa de tierra y musgo que lo cubría, entonces lo pateo con su outa de punta metálica y pudo escuchar el reconocible tañido de un metal golpeando contra otro.

-¡Rápido vengan a ver esto!- grito alarmado.

-No queremos ver tus cochinadas Saul, date prisa que tenemos que proseguir- respondió también a gritos Martha.

-Es en serio muchachos, tiene que ver esto, encontré algo en el bosque- siguió gritando Saul.

Martha y Ricardo se guiaron por los gritos a donde estaba Saul, y lo encontraron de pie al lado del extraño objeto, Martha se lo quedo viendo fijamente y su expresión repentinamente cambió a una de asombro.

-¡Maldición eso es una nave como la Perseo!- exclamó extasiada.

-Sabía que se me parecía algo conocido- dijo Saul.

-¿Qué demonios hace esto aquí?- pregunto Ricardo.

-¿Eres tonto?, ¿no recuerdas tus clases de historia?, de la Tierra salieron ciento cincuenta naves, Perseo era una de ella y nunca supimos nada de las otras ciento cuarenta y nueve, esta debe ser una de ellas- dijo Martha – corre y llama al ingeniero, el sabrá qué hacer con esto.

Roland Anderson el Ingeniero, se comunicaría con la dirección de la empresa constructora y ellos con los contratantes del gobierno local, pocas horas después, una nave del ejercito con todo un equipo de arqueólogos, geólogos, ingenieros y pasantes de la Universidad de Polaris, escoltados por un pelotón de efectivos del ejército, aterrizó en medio del sendero, tras los deslizadores, sus ocupantes se dirigieron apresuradamente, ante la vista incrédula de Saul y los otros trabajadores de la construcción, .a escarbar en la semi sepultada nave colonizadora.

Pocos años después sería inaugurado en este lugar un monumento en homenaje a la Orfeo, y la ciudad que serviría de sede del Parlamento, llevaría su nombre también en su honor. La nave permanecería en este lugar en memoria de un intento fallido por propagar la especie humana y a su alrededor sería construida la nueva ciudad.
