## Vacaciones en Soledad
##
Esto era lo que más extrañaba de estar en la Tierra, lástima que en algunas décadas tal vez no podría volver a disfrutarlo. Matías se sentó en la playa a unos diez metros de la orilla y contempló las nubes cruzar el cielo por casi una hora, con la brisa golpeando su rostro y agitando su cabello ya mermado por la calvicie.

Era su primera visita a la tierra después de seis años continuos en Marte, la transformación de la antigua ciudad vacacional, en una colonia permanente era ya casi un hecho, la sección de granjas operaba y producía suficiente alimento para abastecer a los casi cien mil habitantes que hoy había en aquel planeta y cuando funcionase a su máxima capacidad podría mantener a poco más de quinientos mil habitantes. Lo mismo ocurría con la planta de reciclado de agua y la estación purificadora de aire.

Su vida había cambiado por completo hace veinte años, cuando abordó el ascensor orbital camino a Pegasus, para viajar a trabajar en Marte; se había casado y formado una familia en aquel planeta; de vivir en soledad en la Tierra, pasó a tener familia y amigos, nunca había sido tan feliz. Sin embargo, aun extrañaba la Tierra, no su vida en ella, sino, la Tierra misma, aun moribunda era más hermosa que el frio Marte.

Ya eran pocas las personas que permanecían en su antiguo mundo, la mayoría de ellas esperando su turno para migrar a alguna de las colonias, a diario las naves partían rumbo a Marte, Titán y la aun en construcción Europa. Muchos de ellos con la falsa esperanza de recibir la noticia de que alguna de las naves colonizadoras encontrara un planeta apto para sustentar la población de la Tierra, sin embargo, lo que muchos no sabían, era que debían pasar vario miles de años antes de que pasará, así que todos los hoy vivos y toda su descendencia hasta cientos de generaciones en el futuro, estarían condenados a vivir y morir en una de las poco hospitalarias colonias y estaciones espaciales, siempre con el temor de que, repentinamente, la burbuja de existencia en que habitaban estalle, llevándose con ella millones de vidas.

Su cuerpo le pesaba y tenía la sensación de que estaba siendo aplastado, a causa de la diferencia de gravedad entre Marte y la Tierra, era una de las tantas molestias que debía superar quien, estando aclimatado a vivir en aquel mundo, venia de visita a la Tierra; por eso pocos lo hacían, sólo los que, por obligaciones de trabajo debían hacerlo, ellos eran los clientes frecuentes de las pocas naves comerciales que hacían la ruta entre ambos planetas.

Matías era una de las muy escasas personas que viajaba a su mundo de origen para tomar vacaciones, de hecho, lo hacía solo, su familia se quedaba en Marte, su esposa ni quería ni estaba en condiciones de venir a la Tierra y su hijo, como nacido en aquel planeta, no podría soportar las condiciones de la Tierra, por lo que para él, al menos por el momento, estaba completamente negada la posibilidad de viajar al mundo originario de sus padres.

Para Matías regresar a su antiguo planeta era volver a encontrarse con su pasada soledad, cuando llevaba una vida casi de claustro en una pequeña granja, heredada de sus padres, quienes habían muerto en un trágico accidente, mientras transportaban mercancía al mercado de agricultores. 

Visitar la Tierra era revivir su pasado, de mantenerse ocupado cultivando vegetales y criando pollos, mientras veía la vida pasar y el mundo avanzar a una muerte segura, de asomarse al mundo sólo a través de una interfaz de red, para poder enterarse de que sucedía a su alrededor, de conducir veinte kilómetros hasta la costa, para pasar el día viendo las olas y calentando su cuerpo al sol.

En realidad, no sabía, como las circunstancias de su vida lo habían llevado a aquel aislamiento, ni que había pasado en aquel extraño momento de su vida en el que, tras escuchar que se buscaban voluntarios para trabajar en Marte, decidió que lo mejor para él sería, vender su granja a la Administración de Tierras, para emprender un viaje a una vida en lo desconocido.

No extrañaba su vida en este planeta, pero si extrañaba la libertad de vivir en él, extrañaba poder subir a su vehículo y conducir durante horas, sin tener que pasar una y otra vez por el mismo sitio; extrañaba poder llenar su pecho de aire y percibir infinidad de aromas, en lugar del estéril aire de la burbuja en que vivían en Marte; extrañaba el infinito, aunque moribundo, mar de la Tierra y el ir y venir de sus rítmicas e hipnóticas olas, en lugar de al eterna aridez de aquel mundo que era hoy su hogar.

Por más que no fuera afecto a vivir al aire libre, hoy se encontraba extrañando la libertad de poder vivir a la intemperie, extrañaba la lluvia y la nieve, la briza y la calma, la soledad de un mundo gigantesco por recorrer, frente a una vida llena de amigos y familia, en una prisión en forma de burbuja.

Pese a extrañar su antiguo mundo, y vivir en esa prisión que era Marte, era feliz con su nueva vida, así como se sentía feliz de poder seguir viniendo a este su antiguo hogar cada vez que pudiera a revivir su antigua soledad y a celebrar su nueva existencia. Esperaba poder seguir tomando estas vacaciones en soledad mientras sus condiciones físicas y las del planeta se lo permitieran.

This was what he missed most about being on Earth, a pity that in a few decades he might not be able to enjoy it again. Matías sat down on the beach about ten meters from the shore and watched the clouds cross the sky for almost an hour, with the breeze hitting his face and shaking his hair, which had already been reduced by baldness.

It was his first visit to the earth after six continuous years on Mars, the transformation of the old vacation town into a permanent colony was almost a fact, the farm section operated and produced enough food to supply the nearly one hundred thousand inhabitants that were on that planet today and when it ran at its maximum capacity could maintain just over five hundred thousand inhabitants. The same thing happened with the water recycling plant and the air purification station.

His life had changed completely twenty years ago, when he boarded the orbital elevator on his way to Pegasus to travel to work on Mars; he had married and raised a family on that planet; from living alone on Earth, he went on to have family and friends, he had never been happier. However, he still missed the Earth, not his life on it, but the Earth itself, even dying, was more beautiful than cold Mars.

Few people remained in their old world, most of them waiting their turn to migrate to one of the colonies, daily ships left for Mars, Titan and the still under construction Europe. Many of them with the false hope of receiving the news that some of the colonizing ships found a suitable planet to sustain the population of the Earth, however, what many did not know, was that several thousands of years had to pass before it would pass, so that all living today and all their descendants up to hundreds of generations in the future, would be condemned to live and die in one of the little hospitable colonies and space stations, always with the fear that, suddenly, the bubble of existence in which they inhabited burst, taking with it millions of lives.

His body weighed on him and he had the sensation that he was being crushed, because of the difference in gravity between Mars and the Earth, it was one of the many inconveniences that had to be overcome by those who, being acclimated to live in that world, came to visit the Earth; that is why few did it, only those who, due to work obligations, had to do it, were the frequent clients of the few commercial ships that made the route between the two planets.

Matías was one of the very few people who traveled to his world of origin to take vacations, in fact, he did it alone, his family stayed on Mars, his wife neither wanted nor was in conditions to come to Earth and his son, as born on that planet, could not support the conditions of the Earth, so for him, at least for the moment, he was completely denied the possibility of traveling to the original world of his parents.

For Matías to return to his old planet was to find again his past solitude, when he led an almost cloistered life in a small farm, inherited from his parents, who had died in a tragic accident, while transporting goods to the farmers' market.

To visit the Earth was to relive his past, to keep busy growing vegetables and raising chickens, while watching life go by and the world advance to certain death, to look at the world only through a network interface, to find out what was happening around him, to drive twenty kilometres to the coast, to spend the day watching the waves and warming his body to the sun.

In fact, he did not know how the circumstances of his life had led him to that isolation, nor what had happened at that strange moment in his life when, after hearing that volunteers were being sought to work on Mars, he decided that the best thing for him would be to sell his farm to the Land Administration, to embark on a journey to life in the unknown.

He did not miss his life on this planet, but if he did miss the freedom to live on it, he did miss being able to get into his vehicle and drive for hours, without having to pass over and over again in the same place; He missed being able to fill his chest with air and perceive an infinity of aromas, instead of the sterile air of the bubble in which they lived on Mars; he missed the infinite, though dying, sea of the Earth and the coming and going of its rhythmic and hypnotic waves, instead of the eternal aridity of that world which was his home today.

Although he was not fond of living outdoors, today he was missing the freedom of being able to live outdoors, he was missing the rain and snow, the breeze and the calm, the loneliness of a gigantic world to travel, in front of a life full of friends and family, in a prison in the form of a bubble.

Despite missing his old world, and living in that prison that was Mars, he was happy with his new life, just as he was happy to be able to live in a prison.

Life must go on. Although challenges and trials come and go, try to stop the pace of our lives. Sometimes we fail and fall to pieces, and at that moment, we are helpless and feel alone. This situation inevitably results in pessimism and despair in us.

Life is so cruel. But that does not necessarily make us fall. Remember, life is a struggle, life without struggle is a life that does not need to be lived.

The purpose of life is to reach the peak of happiness. And for that, it takes a long journey, past obstacles, sharp pebbles and rocks. Therefore, we need to be strong. Rest assured behind failures and trials, we will surely find happiness.

To achieve happiness requires struggle, hard work, courage, and determination. But when you reach the peak of your happiness you also shouldn't be complacent. We must always be grateful for all that we have.

*This reminds of a story lover girl who disappeared while on vacation to a mountain called agbaa mountain resort.* 

Agbaa Mountain was one of the oldest mountain in the Oko township, people used to go for leisure, this mountain was full of amazing nature and is a fall right beside this mountain which attract tourist most. Two lovers decided to on vacation and they chose Agbaa Mountain as their best choice to spend their time together. 

When they got to this place, they saw several people’s coming in and going, the girl told her boyfriend that, she prefer a silence environment which contain less people, this boy was a bit confused, but they later find a cool environment which is the falls around this mountain. While they are drinking, the boyfriend ask her to go swim in the pool, they went together, the boyfriend jump in water first and ask his girl to join him as well, but the girlfriend told him she want to buy drink from the pool bar, when bf noticed his girlfriend is taken too long to join him pool back, he came out of the water quickly, went to check the girl at the bar, but couldn’t find her.

He shouted her name, no answer, he alert the security around, they search around the falls and pools area they couldn’t find her, the boy call her phone several times, phone was ringing but no answers. The boyfriend left agbaa mountain resorts sadly went to police station to report the incidents, but unfortunately he was arrested by the girl parents the next day. He was merciless beaten to confess where he kept his lover girl. He swear with his entire life he knew nothing about his girlfriend disappearing, but none one believe him, even the girl parent kept on saying he knew a lot about their daughter disappearing. 

Few days later, the boy was charged to court, luckily the when the judge hearing the case, he adjourn the case and calls for thorough investigation. Between this times, the girl return home back safely, when she was asked where was she, she told her parent she met with her old lover and she grow feeling back, so she was with him for couples of days.

Sadly, the innocent boy suffered for what he knew nothing about, the boy was later free and went home, the girl parent came to apologized for their action, but the boy has vacate the place he was stay and moved to his own town. So sad uncountable of innocent people’s eventually lost their precious life for the crime they know nothing about, but gladly this boy was lucky the girl showed up in time.

Simple but Incridible picture. For me to look something especially for the picture always try to related my thought with life, you can chek it in my last post as same as like this picture.

This picture talk about the peak, beauty and hiking attitude. Why a climber will want to be at the highest peak, is the highest peak the end of each climb? Then why do many people go back up after success with the first, second and so on? This image reminds us of satisfaction being at the top, all beauty will be created when seeing it from a height, the breadth of views is expected to be able to change the narrow view by being at the top even more than that. For a climber to be at the highest peak is conquering the ego and individualistic.
