## El Puente
##
Esa mañana todo cambió repentinamente en Casiopea, sobre una de las peculiares mesetas casi circulares que bordeaban, regularmente distanciadas, la costa norte del mayor de los continentes, un puente apareció repentinamente.

Esa región del continente, era escasamente visitada, la mayor parte de la población se ubica en los otros tres continentes, sus tierras son más adecuadas para el cultivo y su clima más amable, mientras que el continente mayor, se cree que fue producto del impacto de algún objeto de gran tamaño, en el periodo inmediatamente posterior a la solidificación de la corteza del planeta, se trata de una gigantesca planicie de roca en su mayor parte vitrificada.

Si no hubiese sido por los satélites rastreadores de partículas, su presencia se habría notado tan rápidamente. A poco menos de dos horas para el amanecer, se disparó la alarma de una intensa fuente de neutrinos proveniente de aquella región, de inmediato la fuerza expedicionaria del ejército, asentada en Yone, una de las lunas de Casiopea, envió un dron de reconocimiento a revisar la zona, encontrándose con la peculiar imagen de un puente flotando a unos cien metros sobre la cima de una de las mesetas.

Cassiopeia, era un mundo recientemente adquirido, sus ciudades tenían poco menos de quinientos años, y su poblamiento unos cien años antes de eso. Era el mundo más alejado de Heracles y el más próximo al borde exterior del brazo de Orión, su descubrimiento y fundación se debe a la Flota Ícaro la cual se encontraba explorando y creando una ruta al brazo exterior.

De inmediato se descartó que el puente fuese creado por los humanos y su ubicación, tamaño y repentina aparición, también negaban la posibilidad de que se tratara de un evento natural. Es bien sabido que los puentes Einstein-Rosen no se manifiestan naturalmente a escala macroscópica y mucho menos dentro de la influencia gravitacional de un objeto masivo como un planeta.

El puente, de cerca de doscientos metros de diámetro, reflejaba sobre su membrana exterior lo que parecía ser la superficie de un mar y unas extrañas estructuras circulares sobre ella, por lo que se entendía que el otro extremo del puente también estaba situado dentro de la atmósfera de un planeta.

La fuerza expedicionaria estableció un puesto de vigilancia a un kilómetro del objeto y se enviaron drones y sondas robot a resguardar su perímetro.

Desde la Flota Ícaro se recibió la información de que los Inus, los aparentes nuevos amigos de los humanos, desconocían por completo el origen de este puente, y que con la autorización de los humanos enviarían una nave con uno de sus nodos, para facilitar el intercambio de información, para la investigación de su origen.

Para el siguiente mes fue enviada una sonda robótica que ingresara al puente y enviara información sobre lo que había del otro lado.

―ROBERT reporta tu estado antes de entrar al puente ―dijo el operador de comunicaciones del puesto de control en Cassiopeia.

―Estoy completamente operativo, deflectores en línea, reactor, motor antigravedad y emisores de plasta y PEM activos y al cien porciento de sus capacidades ―respondió ROBERT en tono jovial ―. Y no se preocupen por mí, soy una sonda no siento miedo, angustia o aprehensión, aunque si tengo una extraña sensación de incertidumbre.

―Gracias ROBERT, por favor, reporta todo lo que percibas durante el ingreso, y una vez adentro haz un completo escaneo de la zona ―dijo el operador.

―Bien, me dispongo a entrar al puente, dado el tamaño y ubicación del puente dentro de un campo gravitatorio mayor al suyo, ignoraré el procedimiento de ingresar haciendo una aproximación orbital y lo haré en línea recta.

ROBERT entró en el puente, como si se tratara de una burbuja, al principio la nariz de su ahusado casco tocó la superficie y luego de parecer mantenerse estático por algunas fracciones de segundo, se pudo ver reflejado en la membrana exterior del puente, como reaparecía volando en dirección de las extrañas estructuras que se podían apreciar.

Durante varias horas se esperó por el paquete de datos de ROBERT, sólo él podía tomar la decisión de cuando enviarlo su operación era totalmente autónoma. Al final de la tarde, emergió del puente, activando las alarmas de todas las sondas de vigilancia, un proyectil con el primer paquete de datos.

Las instalaciones, fueran lo que fueran se encontraban abandonadas, no se trataba de ningún tipo de estructura o tecnología conocida, no era Inu, ni mucho menos Goei y por supuesto no era humana, el recorrido realizado por ROBERT no mostraba hasta ahora la presencia de tierra firme en el planeta, sin embargo, su búsqueda sólo había abarcado un radio de doscientos kilómetros. Y lo más impactante vino en una grabación de video, narrada por la voz del propio ROBERT.

―Las condiciones ambientales de este planeta son similares a las de Casiopea, es decir es habitable para los humanos, no se detecta ningún tipo de forma de vida microbiana en la atmósfera, ni de máquinas nano métricas y cuánticas, pero lo más importante de esto, es que aquí ya es de noche, y la bóveda celeste tiene una configuración de estrellas completamente desconocida para mí ―explicaba ROBERT, mientras mostraba un diáfano cielo nocturno con escasa estrellas brillando en él.

―Pero esto es lo más interesante de todo ―explicaba ROBERT, mostrando lo que parecía ser una galaxia reconocible, aunque vista desde un plano diferente ―. ¿Saben qué galaxia es ésta?, su configuración y la identificación de varias de sus estrellas, me indican que es Andrómeda, la vecina de la Vía Láctea― dijo en tono sombrío ―. Pero eso no es lo interesante.

La imagen que mostró ROBERT a continuación, presentaba una galaxia espiral, acompañada de otras dos galaxias más pequeñas, claramente distinguibles y otras varías aún más pequeñas, casi inapreciables, bordeada de lo que parecía ser un desgarrado velo de estrellas y gas, que parecía indicar una colisión galáctica.

―He logrado identificar al menos ocho mil estrellas en esa galaxia espiral barrada ―continuaba relatando ROBERT―. Según mi conclusión, se trata de la Vía Láctea. ―dijo sombrío ―. Aun no puedo identificar donde se encuentra este planeta, pero puedo asegurar que está fuera de nuestra galaxia.

## The Bridge

That morning everything suddenly changed in Cassiopeia, on one of the peculiar almost circular plateaus that bordered, regularly distanced, the northern coast of the largest of the continents, a bridge suddenly appeared.

That region of the continent, was scarcely visited, most of the population is located in the other three continents, its lands are more suitable for cultivation and its climate more kind, while the greater continent, it is believed that it was product of the impact of some object of great size, in the period immediately after the solidification of the crust of the planet, it is a gigantic plain of rock in its most vitrified part.

Had it not been for particle-tracking satellites, its presence would have been noticed so quickly. Less than two hours before dawn, the alarm was triggered by an intense source of neutrinos coming from that region. Immediately the expeditionary force of the army, based in Yone, one of the moons of Cassiopeia, sent a reconnaissance drone to check the area, finding the peculiar image of a bridge floating a few hundred metres above the top of one of the plateaus.

Cassiopeia was a newly acquired world, its cities were just under five hundred years old, and its population about a hundred years before that. It was the world furthest from Heracles and the closest to the outer edge of Orion's arm, its discovery and foundation is due to the Icarus Fleet which was exploring and creating a route to the outer arm.

It was immediately ruled out that the bridge was created by humans and its location, size and sudden appearance also denied the possibility that it was a natural event. It is well known that the Einstein-Rosen bridges do not manifest themselves naturally on a macroscopic scale, much less within the gravitational influence of a massive object such as a planet.

The bridge, about two hundred meters in diameter, reflected on its outer membrane what appeared to be the surface of a sea and some strange circular structures on it, so it was understood that the other end of the bridge was also located within the atmosphere of a planet.

The expeditionary force set up a surveillance post one kilometre from the object and drones and robot probes were sent to guard its perimeter.

Information was received from the Icarus Fleet that the Inus, the apparent new friends of humans, were completely unaware of the origin of this bridge, and that with the authorization of humans they would send a ship with one of their nodes, to facilitate the exchange of information, for the investigation of its origin.

For the following month a robotic probe was sent to enter the bridge and send information about what was on the other side.

-ROBERT reports your status before entering the bridge, -said the communications operator at the checkpoint in Cassiopeia.

-I am fully operational, in-line deflectors, reactor, antigravity engine and active plast and PEM emitters at one hundred percent of their capabilities, - replied ROBERT in a jovial tone. -And don't worry about me, I am a probe I don't feel fear, anguish or apprehension, although I do have a strange feeling of uncertainty.

-Thank you ROBERT, please report everything you perceive during the entrance, and once inside do a full scan of the area, -said the operator.

-Well, I am about to enter the bridge, given the size and location of the bridge within a gravitational field larger than yours, I will ignore the procedure of entering by making an orbital approximation and I will do it in a straight line.

ROBERT entered the bridge, as if it were a bubble, at first the nose of his tapered hull touched the surface and after seeming to remain static for a few fractions of a second, could be seen reflected on the outer membrane of the bridge, as it reappeared flying in the direction of the strange structures that could be appreciated.

For several hours he waited for ROBERT's data package, only he could make the decision when to send it his operation was totally autonomous. At the end of the afternoon, he emerged from the bridge, activating the alarms of all the surveillance probes, a projectile with the first data package.

The facilities, whatever they were, were abandoned, it was not any known structure or technology, it was not Inu, much less Goei and of course it was not human, the tour made by ROBERT did not show until now the presence of land on the planet, however, his search had only covered a radius of two hundred kilometers. And the most shocking came in a video recording, narrated by ROBERT's own voice.

-The environmental conditions of this planet are similar to those of Cassiopeia, that is to say, it is habitable for humans, no type of microbial life form is detected in the atmosphere, nor of nanometric and quantum machines, but the most important thing is that here it is already night, and the celestial vault has a configuration of stars completely unknown to me - explained ROBERT, while showing a diaphanous night sky with scarce stars shining in it.

-But this is the most interesting thing of all, -explained ROBERT, showing what appeared to be a recognizable galaxy, although seen from a different plane -. Do you know which galaxy this is? Its configuration and the identification of several of its stars indicate to me that it is Andromeda, the neighbor of the Milky Way- he said in a gloomy tone -. But that's not what's interesting.

The image that ROBERT showed next presented a spiral galaxy, accompanied by two other smaller galaxies, clearly distinguishable and other even smaller varies, almost unnoticeable, bordered by what seemed to be a torn veil of stars and gas, which seemed to indicate a galactic collision.

-I have managed to identify at least eight thousand stars in that barred spiral galaxy, -ROBERT continued to relate -. According to my conclusion, this is the Milky Way. -he said sombrely -. I still can't identify where this planet is, but I can assure you that it is outside our galaxy.

Excellent work on that once again beautiful digital art

Mientras la tierra gira en torno a su propio eje,  muchos de sus habitantes giran sus pensamientos y contemplan un mundo interior, donde un sistema planetario convertido en ideas, que allí subyacen, fulguran su luz con ideas sobresalientes, y salen a flote,  dentro de su órbita, al igual que la esfera terrestre.Esas habilidades particulares que cada quien posee  proyectan ese brillo para el beneficio de la colectividad que aprecia la excelencia,como por ejemplo la de un diseño digital, así como el brillo que el sol proyecta a la tierra mediante su luz.
