A taste of adventure? Visiting Eger and the castle of Eger (2022.06.27)
After yesterday having a [discussion](https://hive.blog/life/@emaxisonline/re-xplosive-2022626t221120993z#@emaxisonline/re-xplosive-2022626t221120993z) with @emaxisonline about travel, originally I planned to visit a mountain in the Bükk today, but actually I visited Eger, and the castle of Eger, which is in the Mátra-Bükk tourist region (Eger region).

The sign says adventure, freedom, recover in Hungarian. A taste of adventure in English.

It was indeed something like that. Almost felt like a real time travel back in time.

First I would like to mention the fact that I have take a lot of photos today. And I mean a lot. I even discovered a related limitation on Facebook. You can upload a maximum of 80 photos in a given album. And I did it.

Do not worry. I am not going to upload that much in this blog post. Just the most important. Well, okay, I had to scroll back to this part after finishing this post, because I actually uploaded a lot of photos. Haha.

First, I would like to mention that Eger has a Ferris wheel, called the Eger Eye.

And there is a bridge and a moat beside the Ferris wheel.

I have not tried this Ferris wheel. It looks almost the same what I [tried](https://hive.blog/life/@xplosive/my-first-ferris-wheel-ride) in the previous year in Szolnok, Hungary.

By the way, the ticket is 2400 Hungarian Forint (HUF), which is currently $6.29 USD, because $1 USD is currently 381.29 Hungarian Forint (HUF). This is slightly more expensive than the Ferris wheel in Szolnok was. That was 2000 Hungarian Forint (HUF), which was $6.14 USD in that time, and $1 USD was 325.76 Hungarian Forint (HUF) in that time.

A sign warn the visitors about strong sound effects. I have not heard anything loud during my visit, but good to know that there could be.

It is great to see you went out and had a great outing in Eger, it must be very refreshing and relaxing. Although you showed us that temperatures are not that welcoming 38C, it hard to walk by in such weather, since it looks very sunny and clear sky.

I'd been to London Ferris Wheel it was like very big it is also called London Eye and 135m high.

Turkiye and Hungary has a great war history, that was the route to Romania and other Balkan Regions, some old Hungarian part are now in Romania.

The Eger castle looks in a great shape despite weather and rain in that region. All the images are absolutely amazing and almost had a virtual tour. Thanks for bringing this up here.

I suggest you add travel logs in @pinmapple or at least tag #pinmapple so that other travelers can get information as well. Try edit if it works.
