Hive Power Up Is Here Again - Let’s All Join In

The first of May is here and it means one thing, it’s hive power up dayyy 🥳. I always look forward to the first of every month because I get the chance to take part in the hive power up day which helps me increase my stake and grow my account. 

Since joining hive and learning about hive power up day, I have tried to join in on this event anytime it comes around. I am currently a member of the newbies initiative and in our first task, we were asked to state our SMART goals for hive for the next 2 months. It is here I stated and explained how much hive power I aimed to make by the time the 2 months was over and how I planned to make it.

I have planned that by the end of 2 months, I am able to get at least 820 hive power. At the time I made the post, I had 578.35 hp. Currently as I write the post before the power up, I have 613.022 hp. In the space of 3 weeks, I have been able to gather 35 hp. This isn’t bad but I’ll attribute this number to my inability to make posts for the past week or 2 due to school examinations I have had. 

As part of my hive power plans I stated how I plan to take advantage of the hive power days to increase my hive power to that 820 in the next 2 months. Increasing your hive power stake as I have come to realize is very beneficial. I’ve began to notice I am getting a bit more curation rewards and little by little my vote carries a bit more weight now. I am also able to vote on more people now before my voting mana drains. 

Hopefully, by doing these and sticking to my plans I am able to surpass that 820 hp mark in the next month and half and pass 1000 hp before the year ends. I’m keeping my fingers crossed 🤞. 

Although, I haven’t been making a lot of posts and my engagement has been on the low, I have been able to save up some hbd which I have converted to hive. I did that yesterday in preparation for today’s power up. I currently have 15.3 hive in my wallet of which **I plan to power up 11**. 

No special reasons for the number guys, just felt like adding one to the 10 I did the last time😅. Maybe you could call that progress. Who knows, I could be powering up 10s of 1000s soon with this progress.🧐

For my power up, I used peakd. I logged into my wallet, selected the drop down arrow on hive and clicked on the power up.

I was redirected to hive signer and I approved for the transaction to proceed. My power up is a success as shown.
