Brother.. We are not stupid. A rabbi does not wave his magic want and declare that something is kosher. There are strict guidelines that determine what is kosher and what isn’t. Animals must be killed in a humane way, the meat must be high quality and certain parts are discarded entirely. Those hot dogs are 100% beef Hebrew nationals. I personally hate hot dogs but as far as they go those ones are by far the healthiest. 

Kosher mainly refers to meat. So it doesn’t take much for pastries to be kosher as long as the milk and eggs came from animals that are also approved. 

Even as an admittedly secular person I will tell you that kosher food tastes better and is healthier. If I could be bothered to cook every meal I would eat only kosher food. If you have access to it I would buy some kosher burgers and try them out. No cheese though (mixing milk and meat is a no no).

I don’t think I stated it quite as strong as that but I understand where you are going with that. But we are all free to spend our money wherever and however we want. There is a Lebanese restaurant I go to 3-4 times per week. I’m a little sick of the food but I enjoy going there because they take good care of me and I like the people who work there. Should I be limited on the amount of money I spend there or how many times a week I go?

Is it fair? Absolutely. I shouldn’t be forced to buy inferior goods or support a given business in the name of fairness. THAT is affirmative action. Jews don’t ask for handouts from anyone. We don’t say, oh please hire me because the holocaust was bad. You’ll never hear a Jew or an Israeli say that because that is not our mentality. We bring up the holocaust as a way to remind people how mob mentality can spin out of control so it doesn’t happen again. 

Read a bit about Jewish history if you’re interested. Many many times Jews have been the target of their host nation just because they were Jews. The holocaust was just the most recent and on the greatest scale. 

But like I said, none of us are asking for handouts. And we don’t always buy from each other or hire each other. You have a lot of Israelis in LA and a lot of them do construction. But if they want work done on their own home they’ll hire Mexicans instead. Why? Cheaper and less of a headache. 

If we have the choice to hire a Jew who is a bad worker and/or an idiot and a non Jew who is a rockstar or even average employee, most people will hire the latter. We may give initial consideration to someone who is Jewish - and some might even hold out for the right Jewish candidate - but we are not going to sacrifice our livelihood just to make his mother happy. 

Might also do you some good to meet some real live Jewish people as well. I think you have the wrong idea about us. I’m not using the holocaust as an excuse to use bid bots. I’ve never heard anyone use it as an excuse for anything. We are really just normal people who value money, so we focus on industries that pay well. Medicine, entertainment, law, finance, etc. But people love to blame others for their own shortcomings so somehow it’s a global conspiracy and we are lizard people. 

Honestly I’m so glad that Israel exists as a country because I know if shit hits the fan and a bunch of idiots try to cleanse us, we can all just go there. I’ll take beautiful Israeli girls, great food and the beaches of Tel Aviv over LA any day.
