#### What is smartsteem ?

Smartsteem (https://smartsteem.com) is the first votingbot on steem that is purely focused on content quality and wants to make steem a better place for all steemians. Additionally, smartsteem works as a frontend filter that displays posts only from whitelisted users - similar to steemit, busy or chainbb. But it is not an alternative - instead more of an extension.

Steemians can apply and are then reviewed by Moderators through our SmartScore Rating-System and if they are whitelisted – are able to buy upvotes directly from smartsteem and sellers. Because we want to support new and talented steemians, the cost of an upvote is dependant of the total account value. Which simply means: High smartscore & <= Minnow ---> upvote discount. High smartscore & >= Dolphin ---> no discount.

Steemians can also sell votes for a 80% share of the profit. What makes this special is that while we already offer a very high level of quality - it is still possible to select for which users/categories these votes will be sold to.

#### How to delegate Steem Power to smartsteem?

To delegate Steem Power to your first smartsteem do visit a smartsteem webiste at smartsteem.com and click `login`

After that enter the account name and **post key** steemit you to go into smartsteem. Remember only post key is not an active key!

Then once you get into smartsteem now you click on `delegator`

After you click on `delegator` now you will see the display like below and click `delegate`

Then enter your steemit account name and how many Steem Power Delegates you want to delegate, here I want to delegate 500 Steem power and click `delegate`

After that you have to confirm the transaction to proceed to the following step, as my picture below, click `Continue`

Next you will automatically connect with steemconnect, and enter your username and active key or your master key. Here I suggest you better use the active key.

Finally you have successfully delegated your Steem Power to smartsteem, and your Steem Power will automatically decrease.

After that you can see that I have included in the sponsor smartsteem, in delegation 500 SP

Setelah itu masukkan nama akun dan **kunci posting** steemit anda untuk masuk ke smartsteem. Ingat hanya kunci posting bukan kunci aktif!

Kemudian setelah anda masuk ke smartsteem sekarang anda klik pada `delegator`

Setelah anda klik pada "delegator" sekarang anda akan melihat tampilan seperti di bawah ini dan klik `delegate`

Kemudian masukkan nama akun steemit anda dan berapa jumlah Delegasi Steem Power yang ingin anda delegasikan , di sini saya ingin mendelegasikan 500 Steem power dan klik `delegate`

Setelah itu anda harus konfirmasi transaksi untuk melanjutkan ke langkah berikut nya ,seperti gambar saya di bawah ini , klik `Continue`

Berikutnya otomatis anda akan terhubung dengan steemconnect , dan memasukkan username dan kunci aktif atau kunci master anda. Di sini saya sarankan anda lebih baik menggunakan kunci aktif .

Akhirnya anda sudah berhasil mendelegasikan Steem Power anda kepada smartsteem, dan otomatis Steem Power anda akan berkurang.

What makes delegating your SP to this bot better than using it yourself? Isn't it a real shame that we are encouraging people to give away their voting weight rather than interacting themselves?

I use smartsteem. I usually buy upvotes after 20-30 minutes at 0.5STEEM or 0.25SBD. I don't sell my upvotes or delegate SP though, that just seems like you're giving to much power to BOT's on the system.

A lot of comments... plus (65) rep... Again, my opinion. But I think it's what is going to ruin this platform.

Guides like this encourage new users to delegate and sell their upvotes causing them to totally disregard manual curation and improvement.
