“Poder Maligno Fenomenal” es uno de esos modos de juego que llegan a League of Legends, fue lanzado por primera vez en octubre de 2023, como parte de un evento especial donde Riot decidió darle una vuelta de tuerca al clásico enfrentamiento: en lugar de solo jugar para derribar torres y ganar oro, cada campeón recibe poderes exagerados, versiones distorsionadas de sus habilidades normales y que nos será muy pero muy difícil ganarles.
Los campeones se convierten en versiones super mejoradas de sí mismos, con habilidades exagerada, mi partida con Darius no fue tan gratificante ya que no fui lo suficientemente eficiente para ganar. Me lancé a probar el modo de juego con Darius, unos de los campeones que dentro de todo tenía fe.

<div class="text-justify"><div class="pull-left">"Phenomenal Evil Power" is one of the game modes coming to League of Legends. It was first released in October 2023 as part of a special event where Riot decided to put a twist on the classic matchup: instead of just playing to take down towers and earn gold, each champion receives exaggerated powers, distorted versions of their normal abilities, making it very, very difficult for us to beat them.
The champions become super-enhanced versions of themselves, with exaggerated abilities. My match with Darius wasn't as rewarding as I wasn't efficient enough to win. I jumped into the game mode with Darius, one of the champions I had faith in after all.

Al principio me sentía poderoso ya que logramos ganar la bot pero duró poco. Apenas la partida se enredó, descubrí que ser “overpowered” en este modo no significa nada si no entendés cómo adaptarte al equipo enemigo ni al modo caótico. Me derribaron de forma ridícula (una habilidad del veigar pegaba 5000 de daño mágico) como si mi Darius fuera de papel. Intentaba iniciar peleas y terminaba cayendo en segundos, incapaz de encontrar un lugar en el caos. Fue frustrante: cada vez que reaparecía, entraba con la idea de “ahora sí”, y a los pocos segundos estaba otra vez mirando la pantalla en gris.

As soon as the match got tangled up, I discovered that being "overpowered" in this mode means nothing if you don't understand how to adapt to the enemy team or Chaos mode. I was knocked down ridiculously (a Veigar ability dealt 5000 magic damage) as if my Darius were made of paper. I tried to start fights and ended up falling in seconds, unable to find a place in the chaos. It was frustrating: every time I respawned, I'd go in with the thought of "this is it," and a few seconds later I was back staring at a gray screen.

Ahora que me invitaron a un juego con amigos, pudimos crear una composición mejorada y más poderos
La composición fue efectiva: Dr. Mundo, Jinx, Soraka, Mordekaiser y Yunara. Una mezcla que en teoría no parecía nada espectacular, pero que terminó siendo una de las más sólidas con las que jugué.
Con esta composición no solo superamos las dificultades: terminamos ganando con comodidad, aunque los sustos de perder no faltaron (incluso jugaba "safe" con mundo y la warmog)
La comunidad suele recomendar que cada uno del equipo compre, al menos, un ítem de estos. No porque sean “rotos” en sí mismos, sino porque habilitan formas diferentes de juego: un Mordekaiser que decide ser puro control con uno de estos objetos no se juega igual que uno que apuesta todo al daño.

<div class="text-justify"><div class="pull-left">Now that I was invited to a game with friends, we were able to create an improved and more powerful composition.
The composition was effective: Dr. Mundo, Jinx, Soraka, Mordekaiser, and Yunara. A combination that didn't seem spectacular on paper, but ended up being one of the most solid I've played with.
With this composition, we not only overcame the difficulties: we ended up winning comfortably, although there were still some scares when we lost (I even played "safe" with Mundo and the Warmog).
The community often recommends that everyone on the team buy at least one of these items. Not because they're "broken" in and of themselves, but because they enable different ways of playing: a Mordekaiser who chooses to go all-in with one of these items doesn't play the same as one who goes all-in on damage.</div>

Después de esas partidas, me puse a leer lo que decía la comunidad sobre “Poder Maligno Fenomenal” y es donde saque la información de cada item. Las discusiones eran eternas, con listas de las “mejores composiciones”:
Composiciones de hiper-curación: Soraka, Yuumi, Sona, más un tanque inmortal. (Tenía ganas de probar a yuumi). Pero la conclusión general es que este modo castiga al solista. Podés ser el mejor mecánicamente, pero si tu equipo no tiene sinergia, perdés igual, así que jugar con amigos es la mejor opción
Me encantó el modo, con sus excesos, cambio de como se ve el mapa, frustraciones por el.daño absurdo de los enemigos.

Hyper-healing compositions: Soraka, Yuumi, Sona, plus an immortal tank. (I was dying to try Yuumi.) But the general conclusion is that this mode punishes solo players. You can be the best mechanically, but if your team doesn't have synergy, you'll still lose, so playing with friends is the best option.
I loved the mode, with its excesses, changes in map layout, and frustrations over absurd enemy damage.
