There are several areas of Cumaná that have mountains, commonly called hills from where extraordinary panoramic views can be observed. There is a mountain range that extends throughout the state of Sucre from the border with the state of Anzoátegui, passing through Cumanacoa, and continues along this route through several municipalities.

Specifically I want to refer to the mountain that is in the Caigüire neighborhood, whose name is the Pan de Azúcar hill, which has nothing to do with sugar and bread. Many people and ancestors say that this name is due to the amount of sand that is released when it rains heavily and heavily, which looks like tons of brown sugar. Which serves as a base to prepare with cement and frisar walls.

In one of the houses located on Monte Piedad Street, precisely built on the aforementioned hill, in its backyard, there is a panoramic view of the Caigüire neighborhood, as well as other sectors of the city. As shown in the photograph, a splendid panoramic view that has no qualms. View for the music and for the poetry, in short for the gallantry towards the maritime and mariscala Cumaná.

Puntualmente me quiero referir a la montaña que está en el barrio Caigüire, cuyo nombre es el cerro Pan de Azúcar, que de azúcar y pan no tienen nada. Muchas personas y antepasados dicen que este nombre se debe a la cantidad de arena que se desprende cuando llueve copiosa y fuertemente, que parece toneladas de azúcar morena. La cual sirve de base para preparar con cemento y frisar paredes.

En una de las casas ubicadas en la calle Monte Piedad, precisamente construída en  el cerro mencionado, en su patio tracero, se destaca una panorámica del barrio Caigüire, así como otros sectores de la ciudad. Como se muestra en la fotografía, espléndidamente una panorámica que no tiene reparo. Vista para la música y para la poesía, en fin para la galantería hacia la Cumaná marinera y mariscala.

Muchas personas vienen de visita a esta vivienda para observar la hermosa panorámica, donde destaca el hermoso golfo de Cariaco, edificios y casas multicolores, todo un espectáculo maravilloso. Además para ver unos atardeceres espléndidos. Con un sol de una magnificencia única. Disfruten este paisaje tan extraordinario que nos ofrece la naturaleza.
