Why 'waking up early' and 'going to work early' phenomena seems so unparalleled
Have you ever wondered why being punctual most times seems like an unattainable feat despite the impending consequences?. Well, wonder no more. Believe me when I say this article is meant to answer questions like this, as well as provide possible solutions that'll be of help to affected individuals.

Personally, I feel to some extent it's entirely normal for people to wake up late. You didn't hear that from me. As a matter of fact, even in such a tight situation, few talented persons with a high dose of smartness can still beat time.

However, despite the level of smartness of an individual, when considering the health implications of this very act, you'll agree with me that it's not worth the risk. The truth is, waking up late and trying so hard not to be late for work, school, or whatever event is like drinking poison when you really don't want to die. There's a possibility of getting to your destination early enough but the damages are inescapable. The rushing and everything in between (like skipping breakfast, or forgetting to pick the necessary things you might need) is bound to happen.

Aside from the minor adverse effects that are quite visible, psychologically, the functions of the brain cells are interfered with thereby resulting in decrease efficiency and productivity. Now the question is, on a normal condition, if 'waking up late' is equivalent to 'going to work late', then why do people still go to work late even after waking up early?.

I'll start by saying that the attitude towards a particular thing matters alot. For instance, in this part of the world you can easily find someone who is not passionate about education in the classroom teaching. This is because most times the preferred job is not available, so the available job becomes preferable. Unfortunately, if this kind of person isn't ready to recondition his or her mind, then that's exactly where going to work early becomes an impossible mission.

At the same time, like I always advice friends that are close to me; if the passion isn't there, then keep your CV to yourself. But as long as you applied for the job, you need to be passionate about it. Funny enough, no sensible person will ever be late for an interview, whether it's their dream job or not. If you could do anything to get the job, then you should probably do everything to keep it. I guess you already know going to work late is definitely not a way of keeping it.

All the same, sometimes one might be passionate about his or her job, but still can't get to work early because of certain factors. The ability of these factors to cage individuals is based on the fact that there are considered as the normal way of life. I'll start with the one that enslaved me. **The social media addiction**…

https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmTkgbwppWynsUe8z8hxYeq66ZTsawAECaXBQ8tVBqRiEA/social-media-763731__340.jpg

On a serious note, social media is an amazing tool in our present digital world, but also it has been the doom and downfall of many. Waking up early is never an issue for a person like me, but getting ready for work was always the problem. To be sincere, back then immediately I wake up, the first thing that flashes on my mind was always my phone. Most of the times, it's after going through all my social media apps that I'll then remember that I didn't pray. Although I'm a devoted christian, but still social media addiction got the best of me.

The amazing aspect I still don't understand is how time starts flying when one is on social media. Just a blink; you've wasted hours on it. At that very moment, you can't just help but contemplate whether bathing to work is still necessary because you're way too late.

Actually I do advice people, especially those that are working to resist the urge of turning on their mobile data immediately after waking up. At the initial stage, it's always hard. Your instincts might present the thought of checking mails. After all, that won't take much time. Honestly if you can stick to just checking and replying mails, then you're good. But unfortunately, for those that don't restrict notifications from other apps, before you know what's happening, you realize that you're either replying chats or watching online videos. Don't misunderstand me; I'm not saying you shouldn't have fun just because you're working. But hey, there's time for everything. Get to work first.

Aside from social media addiction, sleep deprivation is another factor that keeps one in bed even after they might have woken up earlier. You see a situation where after a stressful day, someone prefers hanging out with friends to a good night rest. Pardon me; I'm really not a partying human, so my sleep is always priority.

Even for the non-partying individuals, there are certain things we do that also affects us in the morning. For instance, you're already too sleepy and weak because of the day's stress but you still feel watching TV is the best option. Well, every now and then you struggle so hard to force your eyes open until you lose the battle to nature and fall asleep on the couch. In the morning you wake up with all forms of pains and may even wish you could sleep a little much longer. Before you know, you're late to work again.

Like I keep saying, *"waking up early and going to work early is achievable"*. All you need to do is **work on your attitude**, **set tangible goals** and **focus** on being the very best in whatever you are doing, as well as **avoid any form of distractions**.

Unfortunately, trying to beat time is one of the major things that have contributed to increase in accident rate and untimely death in our society. I'm optimistic that this will help individuals in correcting some of these life's errors. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Stay safe!
