This didn't go well for my mum as she wasn't comfortable with the lyrics of the song. She called me once to give me a pep talk, to me it was quite hilarious but then I had to listen to her. I could understand her fears of the circular nature of the song derailing from the christian faith and then the boys. She read literal meaning to the song. She said I was too young to get involved with boys talk less ask them for stuffs. Well, my dad had ditched her when she broke the news of being pregnant with me. According to him he was cut out for starting a family and never for once did he ever check up on us. This was my mother's point of establishing hatred for the opposite sex especially those who showed a romantic interest in her. She was close to only Raymond, her best friend and spoke with a few males at work and in the neighborhood. I know she loves me alot, wants the best for me too and doesn't want my life to be like her's. My dad leaving her led her to depression especially because she chose him over her family. Well, I expect and hopes that she can trust me not to disappoint or let her down while we working reuniting with her family. This is my entry to @mariannewest 5 minutes free write
