Mis hijos, mis descendientes directos, mi legado.
**Antes de ustedes:**
Tuve la suerte de haber nacido en una familia tradicional (mamá, papá y nené) que aún se conserva hasta nuestros días. La crianza de mis padres, junto a la de mis abuelos maternos, me ha llevado a ser la persona de hoy. Aprovecho para agradecer toda enseñanza de vida que he adquirido de ellos. 
Mi infancia y adolescencia fueron guiadas y acompañadas por mi familia. He tenido buenos consejos sobre qué hacer en cada momento que lo he necesitado. He gozado plácidamente sin quemar etapas y esto me ha facilitado planificar qué hacer con mi vida en cada momento. 
Los estudios en primer lugar es la única prioridad que me inculcaron mis padres desde la niñez. Tener una profesión que me guste fue lo segundo. El trabajo como fuente de autoabastecimiento económico y familiar fue lo tercero. Después de estos consejos ejecutados, ya estaba lista para dirigir mi vida. 
A los veintiocho años de edad tenía una profesión y un trabajo que me permitía autonomía financiera. Tenía una pareja estable con la que llevaba cinco años de relación. Disfrutaba de cuanto paseo podía: playas, piscinas, teatros, cines, discotecas, fiestas con amigos, etcétera. Mi reloj biológico comenzó a sonar y tenía la sensación que le faltaba algo a mi vida, en efecto: un hijo. 
Fue entonces que fui premiada con mi primer regalo: mi hijo mayor. 

**Arrepentimientos**
Un hijo debe ser deseado por ambos padres  y ese no fue mi caso. Yo lo deseaba con cada célula de mi cuerpo, pero el padre no quería tenerlo en ese momento. Fueron días de mucha presión e incertidumbre para mí, pues llegué a dudar en tener a mi hijo. Cosa de la cual siempre estaré arrepentida, pues era mi deseo esa nueva vida y yo pensé en algún momento no dejarlo nacer. Luego el padre cambió de parecer y aceptó la idea de nuestro hijo, pero ya yo había decidido a cuenta y riesgo mío, con él o sin él. No me hubiera perdonado a mí misma el hecho de no haber continuado con mi embarazo.

**Before you:**
I was fortunate to have been born into a traditional family (mom, dad and nené) that is still preserved to this day. My parents' upbringing, together with that of my maternal grandparents, has led me to be the person I am today. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for all the life lessons I have learned from them. 
My childhood and adolescence were guided and accompanied by my family. I have had good advice on what to do whenever I needed it. I have enjoyed myself peacefully without burning stages and this has made it easier for me to plan what to do with my life at every moment. 
Studies in the first place is the only priority that my parents instilled in me since childhood. Having a profession that I like came second. Work as a source of economic and family self-sufficiency was the third. After these tips were executed, I was ready to lead my life. 
At twenty-eight years of age, I had a profession and a job that allowed me financial autonomy. I had a steady partner with whom I had been in a relationship for five years. I enjoyed all the outings I could: beaches, swimming pools, theaters, cinemas, discos, parties with friends, and so on. My biological clock started ticking and I had the feeling that something was missing in my life, in effect: a child. 
It was then that I was rewarded with my first gift: my eldest son. 

**Regrets**
A son should be desired by both parents and that was not the case for me. I wanted him with every cell in my body, but the father did not want him at that time. Those were days of a lot of pressure and uncertainty for me, because I came to doubt about having my child. Something I will always regret, because it was my desire for this new life and I thought at some point not to let him be born. Then the father changed his mind and accepted the idea of our son, but I had already decided at my own risk, with him or without him. I would not have forgiven myself for not having continued with my pregnancy.

Mi primer embarazo. 

**Grandes cambios**
Comenzó una nueva etapa etapa en mi caminar y con la gestación mi vida dio un vuelco inesperado. Mi embarazo fue de riesgo desde el inicio, tuve amenaza de aborto y para poder lograrlo hice reposo absoluto. Salí para la casa de mis padres, porque mi esposo trabajaba y no podía dejar de hacerlo para poderme atender. Él se quedó en la casa donde vivíamos, pues en casa de mis padres compartía habitación y no cabíamos los dos. 
A pesar del reposo disfruté del crecimiento de mi vientre. Los movimientos fetales se sienten geniales. Engordé más de lo que debía, pero luego recuperé mi peso. Felizmente mi embarazo llegó a buen término y mi hijo nació saludable. Luego de los dos primeros meses del nacimiento, ya recuperada del parto me sentía lista para retomar la vida junto a mi esposo. Resulta que en ese tiempo separados, al parecer, encontró una mejor forma de vida para él y aunque no me lo dijo nunca, mi instinto femenino sabía que había otra persona. Aquí vino la separación y yo me quedé en casa de mis padres cuidando de mi hijo. Aunque estamos separados siempre se ha ocupado del niño y lo quiere mucho, el niño a él también. Los primeros meses fueron muy difíciles, quien tiene hijos sabe cuánto trabajo da cuidar de un niño. Yo era primeriza y aunque siempre conté con la ayuda de mis padres y el de mi abuela, me faltaba el apoyo del padre. 
Luego de siete años conocí a mi actual esposo y quería tener un segundo hijo. El niño también quería un hermanito. Esto requirió de otro gran cambio, sobre todo para el niño. Yo compartía habitación con él y la llegada de otro bebé suponía habilitar otro espacio, pues ya nos quedaba pequeño el cuarto. Este fue todo un proceso de adaptación, me acostaba con él, le leía hasta que se dormía y después me iba a mi cuarto. Así lo fui adaptando a dormir solo para que no se sintiera excluído al nacer el nuevo bebé. 
Nació mi hija y con ella nuevas transformaciones en mi vida, pues lo que ya había sido modificado con mi primer hijo se volvía a mover de lugar. Ahora tenía que administrar mi tiempo de forma más eficiente y sin afectar a ninguno. Por fortuna cuento con varios brazos de fuerza y la presencia de mi esposo que es fundamental en este nuevo período.

My first pregnancy. 

**Big changes**
A new stage in my journey began and with my pregnancy my life took an unexpected turn. My pregnancy was risky from the beginning, I had a threatened miscarriage and in order to achieve it I had to rest absolutely. I left for my parents' house, because my husband worked and could not stop working in order to take care of me. He stayed at the house where we lived, because at my parents' house I shared a room and there was no room for both of us. 
Despite the rest, I enjoyed the growth of my belly. The fetal movements felt great. I put on more weight than I should have, but then I regained my weight. Happily my pregnancy came to term and my son was born healthy. After the first two months of the birth, recovered from the delivery, I felt ready to get back to life with my husband. It turns out that during that time apart, apparently, he found a better way of life for him and although he never told me, my feminine instinct knew that there was someone else. Here came the separation and I stayed at my parents' house taking care of my son. Although we are separated he has always taken care of the child and loves him very much, the child loves him too. The first months were very difficult, anyone who has children knows how much work it is to take care of a child. I was a first-timer and although I always had the help of my parents and my grandmother, I lacked the support of the father. 
After seven years I met my current husband and wanted to have a second child. The child also wanted a little brother. This required another big change, especially for the child. I was sharing a room with him and the arrival of another baby meant that we had to make room for another baby, as we had outgrown our room. This was a whole process of adaptation, I would go to bed with him, read to him until he fell asleep and then I would go to my room. This way I was adapting him to sleep alone so he would not feel left out when the new baby was born. 
My daughter was born and with her new transformations in my life, because what had already been modified with my first child moved again. Now I had to manage my time more efficiently and without affecting anyone. Fortunately, I have several strong arms and the presence of my husband, who is fundamental in this new period.

Nueve años más tarde, mi segundo embarazo. 

**Lo que más extraño...**
De mi vida anterior a mis hijos extraño dormir a piernas sueltas, sin preocupaciones. No hay noche que pueda dormir de un tirón. Siempre me levanto en la madrugada, miro a la niña durmiendo en su cuna y voy al cuarto del niño a verlo dormir también. Los observo para ver si están bien tapados y regreso a dormir. No sé si es alguna manía o es solo parte de ser madre, pero no lo puedo evitar. 

**¿Qué debí haber hecho o sabido antes de tenerlos?**
Antes de tener a mis hijos debí mostrar más cariño a mis padres, considerarlos más. Aunque no me considero una mala hija, pienso que un poco más de afecto hubiera venido bien, ya que no sabía cuánto se puede llegar a querer a los hijos. Esto debería venir en un chip interno o qué se yo... Lo cierto es que las palabras se quedan cortas para expresar los sentimientos por un hijo y no se llega a saber hasta que pasas por esa experiencia. 
¡Por ellos, por ustedes, mis hijos... mi vida!.

Nine years later, my second pregnancy. 

**What I miss most...** 
From my life before my children, I miss sleeping on my own, with no worries. There's not a night I can sleep at night. I always wake up in the wee hours of the morning, look at the baby girl sleeping in her crib and go to the boy's room to watch him sleep too. I watch them to see if they are well covered and go back to sleep. I don't know if it's some mania or just part of being a mother, but I can't help it. 

**What should I have done or known before I had them? **
Before I had my children I should have shown more affection to my parents, considered them more. Although I don't consider myself a bad daughter, I think a little more affection would have come in handy, as I didn't know how much you can grow to love your children. This should come in an internal chip or what do I know? The truth is that words fall short to express the feelings for a child and you don't get to know until you go through that experience. 
For them, for you, my children... my life!
