Those of us who already have some time in Hive, had the chance to see the birth of the tokens associated with the tribes and allowed us to witness the rise and fall of many of them. Seeing how a coin was trading one day at $1 and the next day at $200 and a week later at $0.0000001.

It was certainly a time of trial and error. Most of us users didn't even get a good grasp of what it was all about and many ~~people~~ of us make some of those coins lose all value.

Los que ya tenemos algún tiempo en Hive, tuvimos la posibilidad de ver nacer los tokens asociados a las tribus y nos permitió ser testigos del ascenso y caída de muchas de ellas. Ver como una moneda se cotizaba un día en $1 y al día siguiente en $200 y a la semana en $0,0000001.

Sin duda se trató de un momento de ensayo y error. La mayoría de los usuarios ni siquiera lográbamos entender bien de qué se trataba y la mayoría ~~hizo~~ hicimos que algunas de esas monedas perdieran todo su valor.

For a number of users those tokens meant nothing and as soon as they received them they converted them to a thousandth of their value, just to "grab something".

The case I was able to witness most closely was SPACO, a token created to reward the Spanish-speaking community and which managed to bring together practically all the communities that were operating on the platform at that time. I am not going to make an in-depth analysis of this story because it has many edges, but the fundamental factor of its fall was the total disinterest of the users who did not make *stake* (which is the equivalent in each of those *tokens* to convert into Hive Power) and who "gave away" every cent they received in this currency. So it was until it lost all its value and together with other stories that joined, they buried the project completely.

Like SPACO, other projects fell by the wayside. However, there are many others that have survived.

Para una cantidad de usuarios esos tokens no significaban nada y apenas los recibían los convertían a una milésima parte de su valor, con tal de “agarrar algo”.

El caso que pude presenciar más de cerca fue el SPACO, un token creado para recompensar a la comunidad de habla hispana y que logró aglutinar a prácticamente todas las comunidades que funcionábamos en la plataforma para ese momento. No voy a hacer un análisis a fondo de esta historia pues tiene muchas aristas, pero el factor fundamental de su caída fue el desinterés total de los usuarios que no hicieron *stake* (que es el equivalente en cada uno de esos *tokens* a convertir en Hive Power) y que “regalaban” cada céntimo que recibían en esta moneda. Así fue hasta que perdió todo su valor y junto a otras historias que se sumaron, enterraron el proyecto por completo.

Al igual que SPACO, otros proyectos quedaron en el camino. Sin embargo, hay muchos otros que han sobrevivido.

Of recent date is the birth of new *tokens*, which have been able to take things at a good pace and have managed to stabilize in value and in the trust of users.

In fact, Hive-engine.com, which is the interface to access our funds in those currencies, that is to say our *tokens* wallet, for the first time for me, is giving me positive balances and I have been able to start making use of those funds.

There are some of the coins associated with tribes, in which I have already made a good investment in *stake* and that now allows me to earn from curation, from delegations and, of course, from posting. From some of those investments I have been able to start enjoying the gains, while continuing to invest. There are several of them of which, at the moment, I allocate 50% to the *stake* and the rest I use for my personal economy.

De reciente data es el nacimiento de nuevos *tokens*, que han sabido llevar las cosas a buen ritmo y han logrado estabilizarse en valor y en la confianza de los usuarios.

De hecho, Hive-engine.com, que es la interfaz para acceder a nuestros fondos en esas monedas, es decir nuestro monedero de *tokens*, por primera vez para mí, me está arrojando saldos positivos y he podido empezar a hacer uso de esos fondos.

Hay algunas de las monedas asociadas a tribus, en las cuales ya he hecho una buena inversión en *stake* y que ahora me permite ganar por curación, por delegaciones y, por supuesto, por publicaciones. De algunas de esas inversiones he podido empezar a disfrutar las ganancias, sin dejar de invertir. Hay varias de ellas de las cuales, actualmente destino 50% al *stake* y el resto lo uso para mi economía personal.

Of course, with such a large list of options, each person must analyze the ones he/she finds most reliable and analyze their market perspectives. I am just now beginning to understand and use them more appropriately. I am also researching and want to learn more about initiatives to reward other users with projects such as [BEER](https://hive-engine.com/?p=market&t=BEER) by @detlev, [PIZZA](https://hive-engine.com/?p=market&t=PIZZA) by @pizzaexpress and [LUV](https://hive-engine.com/?p=market&t=LUV) by @crrdlx.

I'm not including here the *tokens* associated with games, which have a great strength and demand, because that's a field I didn't want to go into.

But what I am convinced is that the time for *tokens* has finally come!

No estoy incluyendo acá los *tokens* asociados a los juegos, los cuales tienen una gran solidez y demanda, porque ese es un campo en el que no he querido entrar.

¡Pero lo que sí estoy convencido de que el momento de los *tokens*, finalmente ha llegado!
