Hello everyone! How are you all? I hope all is fine and you are happy. 

How's your day going so far? I am happy those gloomy days are over na.
But for today's post, let me share with you the mishap that happened on my CSE filling in the CSE Region X office in Cagayan de Oro City.

I found out in November last year that the Civil Service Commission will be conducting a Civil Service Exam this coming March 26 and at that time, as a first-time exam taker, I really did not have any idea about it. I searched and searched about it, followed pages on Facebook, and even joined a lot of groups in there too. I may have asked some questions posted on the group but most of the time, I was silently reading those answered questions and learning from there. 

So the online application came and boy, everyone was complaining about internet traffic on CSE sites because everyone wanted to file on that day. I checked on eh site and I gave up realizing that I still have chances on the following days because not all applications submitted inline will be accepted due to wrong document attachments.

So I waited and waited until the holidays came, Some slots were opened yet it does not fit into the exam slot that I need to take. I was slowly losing hope thinking that it might be not for me.

But on the first day of the year, I opened the site at 6 in the morning and voila! I was so blessed to find over a hundred slots open and I applied. Horray! I am very happy and I told my husband about it when he and the kids woke up.

Fast forward to the following days, an email came in notifying me that my application was accepted and that I need to schedule an appointment at their office. 

I scheduled my appearance on January 12th, and I went there as early as I can. I arrived at their office around 930 am because I still had to travel for almost an hour( good thing there was no heavy traffic on the road).

I prepared my documents days ahead so I am confident about it but when I submitted them to the CSE staff, they told me they needed the printed one that I filled up on the online application. Dang! Why did I miss it?

So I went out to find an internet cafe (most internet cafes have printers and photocopiers in them but I did not find any near the building.

I took a walk following the street yet I did not find any; good thing a resident in his forties was sitting outside his house and I asked him about it and he pointed me to an internet cafe. 

When I came to the internet cafe, he asked me to send the file through messenger but I just can't do it. Have you tried it? How do you do it?

I then asked him if he has a Gmail account and I sent it to him. I am sure I typed the right address but he didn't receive any! I was losing hope and told myself I'm very unlucky. He then suggested I should use one of the computers in his shop and helped me print the file.

I thanked him so much for his help because he only charged me 8 pesos with all the hassle I gave him.

I was on my way to the CSE office and my bladder is about to burst! It was rainy and cold that day and my body reacted to the weather. I passed on a Petron gas station and asked them if I could use their restroom and I am glad they allowed me to even if I didn't buy anything from them.

I felt better when proceeded back to the CSE office and my documents were accepted. My priority is number 216 and waited to be called in the waiting area they provided.

A little later, a lady wearing hijab asked about the process and asked me to watch for her seat as she urinates. I was glad she befriended me but I was never able to watch for her seat because my number was called and I had to get inside the office.

There I waited for a few more and paid the fee and voila! I am done a little past 12 noon. I am very hungry already but I did not waste any time and hurried home. 

For my lunch, I bought Turk's shawarma when I was already in Puerto Gaisano and ate on the passenger vehicle going to my workplace.

I am a slave of money so I went straight to my workplace and arrived two minutes before two in the afternoon and was saved! I still have a half-day duty and I gladly finished my work that day. 

My CSE filing was successful and aI felt very productive that day. What about you, have you ever tired to take teh CSE examination? What's your experience about it?
