# ¿Qué es para ti la alegría de vivir?

Para mi la alegría es un sentimiento muy bonito, es sentir satisfacción y tranquilidad al mismo tiempo, es sentir emoción y a la vez calma, cualquiera puede tener momentos alegres pero tener alegría de vivir es más profundo, es una alergia que perdura incluso cuando estamos triste por una situación específica, por ejemplo podemos estar pasando por un estrés económico o por un percatarse médico y aún así no perder la alergia de vivir aunque no andemos riendo en esos momentos. 

La alegría de vivir para mi es expresar y manifestar el agradecimiento, en mi casa como creyente agradezco a Dios por cada día de vida, me siento alegre de estar en este plano terrenal, de tener la oportunidad de disfrutar cada uno de mis sentidos, tener alegría de vivir incluso el frío o el calor, poder sentirme libre de ataduras de cualquier tipo, ser yo misma con mis pasiones y mi forma de ser, ser única y al mismo tiempo ser igual a todos, estar en una situación de igualdad donde todos debemos amarnos, porque no hace falta andar con todo el mundo para expresar felicidad de estar en el mundo rodeado de otros seres que como yo vivimos y buscamos la alegría en nuestras vidas.

# What is the joy of living for you?

For me, joy is a very beautiful feeling, it is feeling satisfaction and tranquility at the same time, it is feeling emotion and calm at the same time, anyone can have happy moments but having joy in living is deeper, it is an allergy that lasts even when we are sad due to a specific situation, for example, we may be going through economic stress or a medical realization and still not lose the allergy to live even if we are not laughing at those moments.

The joy of living for me is to express and manifest gratitude, in my house as a believer I thank God for every day of life, I feel happy to be on this earthly plane, to have the opportunity to enjoy each of my senses, to have joy of living even when it is cold or hot, being able to feel free from ties of any kind, being myself with my passions and my way of being, being unique and at the same time being equal to everyone, being in a situation of equality where everyone We must love each other, because it is not necessary to hang out with everyone to express the happiness of being in the world surrounded by other beings who, like me, live and seek joy in our lives.

# ¿Cómo la experimentas?

Yo experimento la alegría de vivir cada día al despertar, abrir mi ventana, preparar mi café y tomarlo mientras veo mis plantas florales, allí en el día siempre están unos colibríes y mariposas, mientras que el árbol de mango a veces están los nidos de otros pájaros. Respiro profundo antes de que todos despierten, porque siempre soy la primera en hacerlo, agradezco a Dios por otro día, me siento satisfecha de mi vida, aunque se que todos tenemos sentimientos con el pasado, se que no hay arrepentimiento,  a veces pienso mucho en mi mamá, ella murió mucho más joven que mi edad actual, ella murió de 51 y yo ahora tengo 58, eso me recuerda de lo afortunada que soy de vivir este momento de mi vida y más allá de sentirme triste por que extraño a mi mamá,  me siento alegre de estar disfrutando de su recuerdo,  de que mi mente esté clara y que mi cuerpo aún me permita recordarla, así experimento la alegría de vivir, con un profundo agradecimiento.

# How do you experience it?

I experience the joy of living every day when I wake up, open my window, prepare my coffee and drink it while I see my flowering plants, there are always some hummingbirds and butterflies there during the day, while the mango tree sometimes has the nests of others birds. I take a deep breath before everyone wakes up, because I am always the first to do it, I thank God for another day, I feel satisfied with my life, although I know that we all have feelings with the past, I know that there is no regret, sometimes I think a lot in my mother, she died much younger than my current age, she died at 51 and I am now 58, that reminds me of how lucky I am to live this moment in my life and beyond feeling sad because I miss my Mom, I feel happy to be enjoying her memory, that my mind is clear and that my body still allows me to remember her, so I experience the joy of living, with deep gratitude.

# ¿Qué te hace sentir alegre?

Hay muchas cosas que me hacen sentir alegre pero todo viene relacionado a mi familia, mi primera alegría es poder disfrutar de mis nietos, uno vive conmigo y los otros dos siempre me visitan, mi difunto esposo no pudo disfrutar de esto , por eso yo aprovecho acaba momento para demostrarles mi amor y hacerles sentir que siempre pueden contar con su abuela, ellos me llenan de energía, los más pequeños tienen 7 y 9 y son tremendos, son varones y eso significa a veces llevarles las ideas pero también ponerles carácter, son niños muy amorosos  así que nada más cuando me dicen “abuela” con esa voz de niño pequeño, a mi se me derrite en corazón, mientras que mi nieta más grande que ya tiene 13 alegra mis días solo con su presencia, sus anécdotas escolares y sobre todo con su tamaño, ella ha crecido muy alta y yo al verla me digo a mi misma que grande esta mi nieta, eso me hace suspirar, pensar que bonita está que ya es una señorita llena de sueños para el futuro, que espero ver cumplidos aunque yo me encuentre muy vieja cuando ella se haga adulta.

También me alegra mucho las cosas necesarias, por ejemplo pensar que tengo techo y comida y que mi familia también lo tiene, saber que mis hermanos y hermanas aun con lo difícil de la crisis están bien, es decir, que no están en una situación de peligro inminente, por ejemplo en los años de crisis aguda yo vivía muy preocupada y eso me quitaba alegria de vida, si comía pensaba si mis hermanos habían comido también, ahora estoy más tranquila al respecto y me llena de alegría saber que todos están bien. 

Espero que todos en algún momento puedan experimentar la alegría de vivir, es muy triste ver cuando una persona ha dejado caer los brazos y por razones personales ha perdido la esperanza con la vida, yo oro a Dios para que cada quien aun cuando la situación sea difícil no pierda la alegría de vivir.

# What makes you feel joyful?

There are many things that make me feel happy but everything is related to my family, my first joy is being able to enjoy my grandchildren, one lives with me and the other two always visit me, my late husband could not enjoy this, that's why I take advantage of it. The moment is running out to show them my love and make them feel that they can always count on their grandmother, they fill me with energy, the little ones are 7 and 9 and they are tremendous, they are boys and that sometimes means bringing ideas to them but also giving them character, they are very loving children so just when they call me "grandmother" with that voice of a small child, my heart melts, while my oldest granddaughter who is already 13 brightens my days just with her presence, her school anecdotes and especially with her size, she has grown very tall and when I see her I tell myself how big my granddaughter is, that makes me sigh, to think how beautiful she is that she is already a lady full of dreams for the future, what I hope to see compliments even if I find myself very old when she grows up.

I am also very happy about the necessary things, for example, thinking that I have a roof and food and that my family also has it, knowing that my brothers and sisters, even with the difficulties of the crisis, are fine, that is, that they are not in a situation of imminent danger, for example in the years of acute crisis I lived very worried and that took away my joy of life, if I ate I thought if my brothers had eaten too, now I am calmer about it and it fills me with joy to know that everyone is well.

I hope that everyone at some point can experience the joy of living, it is very sad to see when a person has dropped their arms and for personal reasons has lost hope with life, I pray to God that everyone, even when the situation is difficult not to lose the joy of living.
