Me gusta mucho la música, tengo algunos géneros favoritos y siempre agradezco tener la dicha de escuchar los instrumentos musicales, estos son creados por el hombre para hacernos sentir tan felices como los mismos sonidos de la naturaleza,  por ejemplo el que disfruta del sonido del cantar de un pájaro bien puede disfrutar de escuchar una flauta o instrumento de viento que se le parezca.

El instrumento que más disfruto escuchar es la mandolina, este instrumento es muy antiguo y no es originario de mi país, fue traído como muchos otros instrumentos en la colonización por parte de los europeos, en mi país forma parte de los instrumentos que se usan en la música tradicional, sobre todo del oriente del país.

Yo no soy oriental, soy del otro extremo,  es decir del occidente del país, pero la música oriental se popularizó a nivel nacional gracias a la radio, que desde muy joven empecé a escuchar las diferentes agrupaciones musicales que usaban entre sus instrumentos la mandolina,  en un tipo de música llamado merengue oriental.

El sonido de la mandolina me gusta porque es muy bonito, es claro, vibrante,  se produce por el accionar de una pajuela que se mueve rápidamente en sus cuerdas,  lo que le da una vibración y sonido continuo, es un sonido agudo pero que no es molesto, al contrario es relajante y a la vez alegre,  da ganas de bailar, de comer o incluso solo estar recostada en una hamaca meciéndose suavemente mientras uno imagina observar el mar, esta es la sensación que me produce su sonido. Lamentablemente nunca aprendí a tocarlo y creo que ya a mi edad sería muy difícil.

Unfortunately I never learned to play it and I think that at my age it would be very difficult.
