Recientemente hice una visita a la tierra de mi familia, fue algo que renovó mis energías, desde el primer momento que se planificó este viaje ya pasaba por mi mente visitar a cada una de las familias del caserío para saludar, abrazar a los abuelos, tíos, primos y todo el que encontrara en el camino. El regalo mas importante que podía darles era sacar algo de tiempo para sentarnos en cualquier pretil y conversar un rato para abonar esas relaciones que por circunstancias ajenas a nuestros deseos habían quedado rezagadas.

Cuando vi esta iniciativa propuesta por la amiga @damarysvibra lo primero que paso por mi mente fue esos días de campo, recuerdo que la primera sensación que tenia al despertar era el aroma a café y la consecuente visita de mi tío Antonio a la abuela Teodora. Todos los días el tío Antonio se dejaba venir por las mañanas a tomar su café y lo mas importante sentarse a conversar con la abuela "Tola". Recuerdo que me sentaba junto a ellos a escucharlos, siempre tenían algo de que hablar, a pesar de vivir en un caserío que se supone no hay muchas noticias, que las casas están separadas por menos de cien metros, pero los días no se podían imaginar sin esta reunión mañanera.

Los seres humanos somos una especie sociable, por ende entre nuestras características está el relacionarnos y la herramienta mas básica para esto es la conversación. Sin la conversación no hubiese sido posible los avances tecnológicos que tenemos en la actualidad, sin embargo mas allá de ese tipo de interacción formal que persigue avanzar, llegar a acuerdos, definir teorías, entre otras, está la conversación informal que busca expresarnos sin tener en cuenta compromisos sino el simple hecho de compartir opiniones sobre anécdotas, planes para el presente o futuro próximo, inquietudes, reflexiones, entre otras cosas.

Cuando reviso mi experiencia particular, me doy cuenta que he avanzado con respecto a años anteriores en el arte de conversar. Ahora mismo, soy capaz de escuchar con atención la ponencia del otro disfrutando del momento, sabiendo que cada quien tiene su opinión particular sobre algo en especifico y que a su vez puede nutrir mi posición. También he aprendido a ser consciente que las conversaciones van cargadas de emociones en ambas direcciones, por tanto es importante saber que decir y mas importante como decirlo. Por supuesto todo esto esta sujeto a la confianza que hay entre las dos personas, no obstante debemos ser empáticos en todo momento.

Considero es importante reencontrarnos con esta herramienta tan importante, la conversación nos aporta conocimientos, diversifica nuestra forma de pensar, aporta en nosotros sentimientos satisfacción, podemos encontrar momentos de serenidad. También es un instrumento para la conciliación, para soltar tensiones cuando queremos expresar al mundo nuestros logros, nuestros aciertos, pero también nuestros reveses, las preocupaciones, en fin, a través de esta podemos encontrar reposo, espaciamiento y libertad para equilibrar la dimensión emocional de nuestro ser.

Recently I made a visit to the land of my family, it was something that renewed my energies, from the first moment that this trip was planned, it was already in my mind to visit each of the families of the farmhouse to greet, hug grandparents, uncles, cousins and everyone I met along the way. The most important gift I could give them was to take some time to sit on any parapet and talk for a while to fertilize those relationships that, due to circumstances beyond our control, had been left behind.

When I saw this initiative proposed by my friend @damarysvibra the first thing that went through my mind was those days in the countryside, I remember that the first feeling I had when I woke up was the aroma of coffee and the consequent visit of my uncle Antonio to grandmother Teodora. Every day Uncle Antonio would let himself come in the mornings to drink his coffee and most importantly to sit and talk with Grandma "Tola". I remember that I would sit next to them and listen to them, they always had something to talk about, despite living in a hamlet that is not supposed to have much news, that the houses are separated by less than a hundred meters, but the days could not be imagined without this morning meeting.

Human beings are a sociable species, therefore among our characteristics is to relate to each other and the most basic tool for this is conversation. Without conversation it would not have been possible the technological advances that we have today, however beyond that type of formal interaction that seeks to advance, reach agreements, define theories, among others, there is the informal conversation that seeks to express ourselves without taking into account commitments but the simple fact of sharing opinions about anecdotes, plans for the present or near future, concerns, reflections, among other things.

When I review my particular experience, I realize that I have advanced with respect to previous years in the art of conversation. Now I am able to listen attentively to the other person's presentation, enjoying the moment, knowing that each person has his or her own opinion about something specific and that in turn can nurture my position. I have also learned to be aware that conversations are charged with emotions in both directions, so it is important to know what to say and more importantly how to say it. Of course all of this is subject to the trust that exists between the two people, however we must be empathetic at all times.

I think it is important to meet again with this important tool, the conversation brings us knowledge, diversifies our way of thinking, brings us feelings of satisfaction, we can find moments of serenity. It is also an instrument for conciliation, to release tensions when we want to express to the world our achievements, our successes, but also our setbacks, our worries, in short, through this we can find rest, space and freedom to balance the emotional dimension of our being.
