The telecommunications company Tencent, which owns more than 50% of the online games market in China, has ventured into blockchain and cryptocurrencies with a new video game.

Tencent revealed through a spokeswoman that she is about to launch the game based on blockchain "Let's Hunt Monsters", a kind of hybrid between Pokémon Go and the popular CryptoKitties, virtual pets based on Ethereum. Thus, players can hunt monsters using the best features of augmented reality and the ability to register assets in blockchain.

It will be at the beginning of May when the game is launched to work in the city of Chengdu, China, on iOS and Android devices.
