I've always had this notion that if I lost everything that I own, it would take me half the amount of time it took me to gain it at first to gain it all back again. I strongly believed that the knowledge of how to create wealth was more valuable than the wealth itself because of the endless possibilities it provides.

Although the question "what would you do if you lost it all?" doesn't meet me with a lot of apprehensions, the thought of starting over from scratch is terrifying. It has often made me wonder what life would be like for me if I didn't have the little privilege I currently have. 

I went jogging with a friend today and we talked about how his life has been. He's from a much more privileged family than mine. Unlike like the privilege that still requires me to work for money, his privilege doesn't require that.

He's a trust fund kid who only has to think of ways to use his wealth to create more wealth. He often talks about how happy he is that he was born into that sort of privilege. He has found himself on a level that most Nigerians can't dream of.

In his case, I'm hopeful that his projects are successful and that he doesn't spend a lot trying to build things that fail because he has no experience earning the kind of money that will be given to him.

I've always had the habit of looking at people and their wealth and wondering what they would do if they lost it all. I look at people who earned their financial stance through politics and I wonder what they would do if a new person comes into power that ruins their stream of income.

Or a crypto junkie who knows nothing other than the trade of buying and selling. What would they do if it all crashes? I had a friend who solely depended on crypto, when he got hacked and lost all his money, I saw how his entire life fell apart. It's been over a year and he still hasn't gained a quarter of it back.

We don't want these things to happen and we don't pray they do but what if they happen? Have we properly acquired the knowledge on how to get it back?
