Not so long ago, I told about my trip to St. Petersburg, from where I brought a lot of impressions and a large number of photographs from different museums. One of those publications was dedicated to the Hermitage clock collection, and today I will tell you about another museum located in Minsk, where we went a couple of years ago. We will again talk about various exhibits, but today I will show you photos with watches, of which there were quite a lot on display.

Не так давно я рассказывал о своей поездке в Петербург, откуда я привёз множество впечатлений и большое количество фотоснимков из разных музеев. Одна из тех публикаций была посвящена коллекции часов Эрмитажа, а сегодня я расскажу о другом музее, расположенном в Минске, куда мы ездили пару лет назад. Речь снова пойдёт о разных экспонатах, но сегодня как раз я покажу фотографии с часами, которых там было выставлено достаточно много.

I've always wondered why the aristocrats were collecting expensive things. After all, in almost every major museum you can find various collections of dishes, weapons, furniture, fireplace clocks, sculptures and paintings. Almost everywhere the list is the same. Sometimes there are collections of jewelry or gold coins, but almost none of the aristocrats collected postage stamps, for example, or stickers from fruits in an album. Probably, wealth involves collecting something more significant. Although there are rarities among postage stamps, the cost of which is quite comparable to the price of world art masterpieces.

Мне всегда было интересно, почему аристократы занимались коллекционированием дорогих вещей. Ведь почти в каждом крупном музее можно встретить различные коллекции посуды, оружия, мебели, каминных часов, скульптур и картин. Практически везде список одинаковый. Иногда попадаются коллекции украшений или золотых монет, но почти никто из аристократов не собирал почтовые марки, например, или наклейки от фруктов в альбоме. Наверное, богатство предполагает собирание чего-то более значительного. Хотя среди почтовых марок встречаются раритеты, стоимость которых вполне сравнима с ценой мировых художественных шедевров.

**The Rumyantsev and Paskevich Palace** is an architectural monument of the XVIII-XIX centuries, the main attraction of the city of Gomel, the compositional center of the Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble, which includes, in addition to the palace, the city park, the Peter and Paul Cathedral, the chapel-tomb, etc. The palace was built on the site of a wooden castle, which was built by the last Gomel elder Mikhail Frederik Czartoryski of the Czartoryski family.

**Дворец Румянцевых и Паскевичей** — памятник архитектуры XVIII—XIX веков, главная достопримечательность города Гомеля, композиционный центр Гомельского дворцово-паркового ансамбля, включающего, помимо дворца, городской парк, Петропавловский собор, часовню-усыпальницу и др. Дворец был построен на месте деревянного замка, который построил последний гомельский староста Михаил Фредерик Чарторыйский из рода Чарторыйских.
