I can't even imagine my life if I hadn't become an artist one day, but worked for someone else. So unexpected and funny things often happen to me, from which I don't always want to laugh, and sometimes sometimes I even have a desire to hide somewhere and live a quiet life in the country. Not so long ago, my wife brought it from somewhere... crocodile. No, not alive, but plaster.
"My friend asked me to paint this thing. Try it, you're an artist, you'll succeed."

What to do, because I've never painted anything like this before. It is necessary to get down to business, since the wife promised her friend. The first thing I did was evaluate the surface of the sculpture. The plaster is smooth, without shells and cracks. You won't even need a primer here. I came up with this: I bought three cans of car paint (yellow, bright green and dark green). First, I completely painted over the crocodile in a dark color, and when the paint dried after fifteen minutes, I made a second layer with streaks. The third color, yellow, I used only on the tips of the paws, in some places on the back and painted the crocodile's eyes and teeth with a brush. The paint was still in the cylinders, and when the sculpture dried, I instructed my wife to take the remains of the paints and the finished work to the customer.

Then my wife said that her friend liked the crocodile very much. I hope that the car paint will last a long time in the air. At least the customer will always have the opportunity to touch up something on their own, if something suddenly peels off somewhere.

Даже не представляю свою жизнь, если бы я однажды не стал художником, а работал кем-то другим. Со мной часто происходят настолько неожиданные и смешные вещи, от которых не всегда хочется смеяться, а порой иногда даже возникает желание спрятаться куда-нибудь и тахо жить спокойной жизнью на даче. Не так давно моя жена откуда-то притащила... крокодила. Нет, не живого, а гипсового.
"Моя подруга попросила раскрасить эту штуку. Попробуй, ты ведь художник, у тебя получится".

Что делать, ведь я никогда раньше ничего подобного не раскрашивал. Надо браться за дело, раз жена обещала подруге. Первым делом я оценил поверхность скульптуры. Гипс ровный, без раковин и щелей. Тут даже грунтовка не понадобится. Придумал вот что: купил три баллона с автомобильной краской (жёлтый, ярко зеленый и тёмно-зеленый). Сначала полностью закрасил крокодила в тёмный цвет, а когда через пятнадцать минут краска высохла, сделал второй слой с разводами. Третий цвет, жёлтый, я использовал только на кончиках лап, кое-где на спине и кисточкой подкрасил глаза и зубы крокодилу. Краска ещё оставалась в баллонах, и когда скульптура высохла, я поручил жене отвезти остатки красок и готовую работу заказчику.

Потом жена говорила, что крокодил очень понравился её подруге. Надеюсь, что автомобильная краска долго продержится на воздухе. По крайней мере у заказчика всегда будет возможность самостоятельно что-то подкрасить, если вдруг что-то где-то облезет.
