I wouldn't want to start another book if I left the pages of this one.
Hello friends. *Travirrumba* is the book that has had me hooked for a few days.
And although it's very easy and educational to read, it has some musical words. Many were invented by the author, but they sound great and work well for children.
The author is a General Practitioner and Endocrinologist. This means she is a medical doctor and has written stories and poems for her adult and child patients.

In addition to treating patients with diabetes, thyroid problems, and other conditions, she also ran the infertility clinic at the general hospital in my hometown of Las Tunas.
I had the privilege of attending this clinic for 11 years until I finally got pregnant 10 years ago. Since then, she has been my son's godmother and mentor, even though she currently lives abroad.
She has published the short story collection *Celulín*, which is about a diabetic girl who must inject insulin for her body to function properly. She has also published a short story collection, *The Pencil Eater in the Corner*.

This last one addresses topics of interest to children and questions they ask, such as why adults say children are delicious to eat, or why they have such cute cheeks to bite.
It also deals with the topics of death, time, divorce, and other things that children can learn about if they are affected by them.
Martha Rosa Fernández Salgado, author of Travirrumbas, is a child of thought when it comes to writing, which is why when this book was proposed to Sanlope's publishing plan for 2007, it was immediately approved.

The book was edited by writer and editor Alberto Garrido Rodríguez, who, among many others, has won the *La llama doble* for erotic novels and the *Casa de las Américas* for theater.
The illustrations were done by cartoonist Antonio Medina Segura, who also works for our city's newspaper, 26.
In Travirrumbas, we can find poems written in any stanza and almost always in minor art meter, but with a strong musicality and catchy rhythm that, when you read it, stays in your mind for a long time or all day. That's why I want to share a poem with you, so that it can be translated and more people can read it.

With stardust,

If you notice in these lullabies from Luna, she writes with great sweetness, and she's also very tender, because treating pediatric patients and writing for them requires sensitivity and love.

Saliendo de las páginas de este libro no quisiera comenzar otro.
Hola amigos. *Travirrumba* es el libro que me tiene atrapada hace algunos días.
Y aunque es muy fácil y didáctico de leer, tiene algunas palabras que son musicales. Muchas son inventadas por la autora, pero suenan muy bien y funcionan para los niños.
La autora es Médico General Integral y Especialista en Endocrinología. O sea que se dedica a la medicina y ha escrito cuentos y poemas a sus pacientes adultos y niños.

Aparte a atender pacientes con diabetes, problemas de tiroides y demás, también se hizo cargo de la consulta de infertilidad del hospital general de mi ciudad de Las Tunas.
Consulta en la que tuve el privilegio de atenderme durante 11 años hasta que al fin logré mi embarazo hace 10 años. Luego de esto ella ha sido madrina y guía de mi hijo aunque ella vive fuera del país en estos momentos.
Tiene publicado el libro de cuento *Celulín*, que trata de una niña diabética que debe inyectarse insulina para que su organismo funcione bien. También tiene publicado el libro de cuentos *El come lápiz del rincón*.

Este último aborda tema de interés para los niños y preguntas que se hacen como por ejemplo; por qué los adultos dicen que los niños están ricos para comérselos, o tiene cachetes tan lindos para morderlos.
También trata el tema de la muerte, el tiempo, el divorcio y otros más que los niños pueden enterarse sobre todas las cosas si son afectados por ellos.
Martha Rosa Fernández Salgado, autora de Travirrumbas es una niña en pensamientos, cuando de escribir se trata, por eso cuando este libro se propuso al plan editorial de la Sanlope para el año 2007 fue aprobado enseguida.

El libro fue editado por el escritor y editor Alberto Garrido Rodríguez, que entre tantos premios tiene el de novela erótica*La llama doble* y el *Casa de las Américas* además del *Casa de teatro*.
Las ilustraciones las hizo el caricaturista Antonio Medina Segura, quién además también trabaja para el periódico 26 de nuestra ciudad.
En Travirrumbas podemos encontrar poemas escritos en cualquier estrofa y casi siempre con métrica de arte menor, pero con mucha musicalidad y un ritmo pegajoso, que cuando lo lees se te queda grabado en la mente por largo rato o todo el día. Por eso les quiero compartir un poema, para que se logré la traducción y más personas puedan leerlo.

**Nanas de la Luna**
Con polvo de estrellas
bordaré tú cuna
para tararearte
nanas de la Luna.
Con polvos celestes
yo te adornaré,
las preguntas viejas
cómo, cuál y qué.
De estrellas que huyen,
cometas que van,
te haré caramelos
con su celofán.
Contaremos cabras
blancas de laguna,
insomnes "te quiero",
nanas de la Luna.
Si se dan cuenta en esta nanas de la Luna, ella escribe con mucha dulzura, además que es muy tierna, porque para tratar a pacientes infantiles y escribir para los niños se debe ser sensible y sentir amor por ellos.
