And Alexander the Great was a charismatic leader, who knew how to influence others with his personality, which helped his soldiers to follow him for years, leading them to the farthest places of his native Macedonia, and always coming out victorious in every battle. But how did this exemplary leader make his soldiers always follow him, even in the most difficult situations? Today how many bosses and leaders in any organization listen to and consider the needs of their employees? Alexander the Great spent time among the troops, he listened to them, he cared about them, not in terms of personal aspects, but in terms of aspects that could affect their performance. A good leader must have the ability to be close to the members of his team, he must have contact with them and treat them with respect, as fundamental pieces for the achievement of his objectives, therefore having knowledge of the aspects that influence the quality of their work is very important. **_Provide the necessary resources_**.Alexander was clear that an army with hunger and without good weapons would have no desire or strength to fight, so he made sure to have strong supply lines, because without the necessary resources his army would not want to follow his orders. This is fundamental, the members of an organization must have the resources they need to do their jobs, it is not optional, therefore, those who lead an organization must understand that providing the resources to their workers, and in the shortest time possible, is simply a vital responsibility, so that the people in charge feel their concern for them. **_Use of relationships_**. Alexander the Great proved, not only to be a great military leader, but also an astute politician, who sought to establish good relationships, both in Macedonia and in the conquered countries, for example, when he conquered the Persian empire he sought as governors of the provinces to the locals, thus earning their favors. A military leader knows that discipline is critical; sticking to the formation and plan despite the chaos of battle is critical. And in any organization it is essential to have a disciplined team, simply because discipline translates into order and coordination, two qualities that provide an advantage in achieving strategic objectives. **_Communication is fundamental_**. Alexander the Great was not only concerned with the needs of his soldiers, he had a reputation for listening to the inconveniences they encountered on the march to battle. Listening to the people being led allows us to understand each other's qualities and to understand how teams are composed.
