Leaning is most times a deliberate action or attempt we take to impact ourselves one way or the other, it could be academically, and it could also just be general education to enhance our understanding and knowledge over a particular subject, situation or area of focus that could have been in mind over a period of time to learn;

Also sometimes it’s not deliberate, it could be an action, an argument, a movie, music or just something that coincidentally happens in which you get to learn one or two things.

I believe that everyone has that particular thing that gives us a hard time to grasp, some of us will see it as a hurdle to overcome and some might see it as a challenge that we might never overcome.

Well, either ways it’s usually not as easy as expressed or explained, cause literally _na me know where and how the shoe Dey pain me_ so no matter how much I try to explain, you are not going to feel that pain but probably have a knowledge of what I’m talking about.

What I’ll say is some people’s blessing, I am not a fan of reading, I think this expression is not it… let me use the word **I hate reading\*** it is not me at all, it’s like giving me a weight that I have carry for as long as I need to read.

I can’t say I have dyslexia, I mean it’s not like I can not read but I just find reading stressful. You can now ask what exactly I’m doing in this blockchain if I hate reading, well the truth is that my motivation was the money involved, I mean I could have said that the fact that I hate reading should be enough reason for me not to even try to start so whats the point of earning from what I hate doing? But nooo, not where I am from, it doesn’t matter what I do not like, what matters is what exactly I am gaining from what I have started.

I have always been grateful to @burlarj for helping me start this journey; I know I have not been consistent as I should have been but then I can say that he showed me that there’s almost nothing that I cannot achieve, cause now I can say that I can read some things, maybe not to the best ways but I am way better than what I used to be.

Let me give you a little breakdown of what I face when I read, first it’s like I’ll be having an imaginary headache, _I call it imaginary headache cause as soon as I drop what I’m reading I feel better_. So then I knew it wasn’t real, I don’t know if you’ve experienced this but I will be reading and when it’s time to do to the next line, I’ll read the same line over and over again, and it’s slows me, and when I realize that I have read this line before and try to read the next line, I read it again, just until I grace my reading to know that i am going to the next line.

Immediately I take a book to read I get tired from the beginning even if its interesting and I really want to read it. When i open my WhatsApp and probably checking status and I see people writing epistle for their people, if I see a read more and I mistakenly open it and see that the write up is almost the whole screen, _omo_ I’ll just let it go, I’ll not read it, I’ll only force myself to read it if I’m concerned or mentioned or involved.

Anyways, I have been outgrowing this issue, thanks to the people that were concerned, a great friend of mine got me a book to read daily, it helps me, even tho some times I do not read them consistently as I should, I try as much as possible to continue when I can.

Thanks to this platform as well, I’ve been forced to read other posts and engage. So yeah, I can say that I am growing out of this bit by bit.
