**Polygon **has made it one of its missions to promote collaborative efforts toward the establishment of a more egalitarian internet, one in which people from all walks of life can discover opportunities no matter where they are located. It has been running the Web 3.0 race, and they claim that they have been developing the infrastructure that will allow people and technology to freely collaborate and trade value across international borders without the need for a third party to facilitate these activities.

**Polygon is recruiting** top-tier new talent from Web2 and Web3 in order to accomplish these ambitious objectives. These new hires will be responsible for providing the infrastructure and technology stack necessary to ensure the long-term success of projects. They have even been successful in poaching top talent from illustrious companies such as Electronic Arts, Amazon, and Google.

**Polygon is supported** by over 60 different metaverse platforms, some of which are Sandbox, Decentraland, and Somnium Space. Additionally, Polygon's developer network has expanded to include over 37,000 different decentralized applications (DApps).

In addition to **integrating Web3 capabilities** for a variety of Web2 businesses such as Starbucks, Adobe, Clinique, Instagram, Adidas, and Stripe, Polygon was successful in **securing $450 million **in February to support its Web3-focused ambitions.

**Blockchain Founders Fund (BFF)**, a venture capital fund with its base in Singapore that targets early-stage Web3 and blockchain startup companies globally, made an announcement on September 30, 2022, that Polygon had placed a strategic investment into their Fund II in in order to expand the company's assets and pursue the adoption of blockchain technology. **Push Chat **is a peer-to-peer chat network that does not engage in censorship and has the goal of accelerating the growth of Web3 applications and communities while also increasing their value. This communication service announced on the 10th of October that it had selected the Polygon network as the web3.0 communication protocol that it would use.

October 2022 was the month that saw the launch of the beta version of Robinhood's Web3 wallet. The developers of the app have decided to work with Polygon as their first partner on the blockchain. Polygon is said to be the only partner in this venture, according to certain rumors. Robinhood has decided to work with Polygon as its blockchain partner due to the platform's scalability, low costs, and rapid processing times.

## Lessons

At the moment, it appears that the Polygon network is at the center of the majority of news articles that discuss Web 3.0; in other words, they are basically playing their cards right.

Web3 is an improvement over Web2.0, not a replacement. We are incapable of running a Web 3.0 protocol that is completely separate from web2.0 standards. Therefore, as those on the Polygon network are doing, more weight needs to be given to the importance of web 2.0 or even web 1.0 platforms in the transition to web3.0.

You are either assisting web2 and web1 platforms in their transition to Web 3.0, assisting web2 and web1 platforms in seamlessly integrating web3.0 into their current infrastructures, or you are creating DApps that will make web3.0 appealing to the general public, just like Polygon.
