Welcome back. I started this developer series yesterday. You can read the previous post [here](https://steemit.com/developer/@zoneboy/learning-to-become-a-developer). 

You already decided on the path to follow. You want to be self-taught. Now you are starting with the basics and got yourself leaning HTML5.

Html5 can be learnt in days. Practice and proper concentration is required. For most languages, you start with the **hello world**. This is to make you get familiar with the language. You learn about the tags, both opening and closing tags. You then output the **Hello world** which you can view in your web browser.

You wrote your first code. Html5 is like a beautiful lady seen early in the morning. No makeup, no attachments. It's just her natural self. That's Html5.

It's the rough work of the front-end. You will learn many things here. They will be further discussed.

* Declaring your document as a html own
* P tags, divs, span, image tags
* Media tags (audio and video)
* Tables
* Lists- both ordered and unordered lists
* Semantic elements.

Those are examples of what will be taught in the HTML5 section. They will be explained in the next part.
