**Hello, dear hiver!❤️**

We start Monday with all the attitude: **Hands to the garden.**

I had some pretty important pending items. I'm starting a garden, one plant every so often. I want to respect the sowing calendars, with this I will make sure I do it right, to have crops.

As I have told you in previous posts, I planted pumpkin. My plant has grown a lot since last time. In it I have been applying a technique that a university professor recommended to me, and that is *rolling up the plant.*

>The objective of this is that it does not spread excessively, allowing land to be available for other plants.

I take each young branch, apparently every day or two it grows a little. So I'm placing it in the place I want.

![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmYiS3StuhmRUs1Z267AKeMbaDznT3XBeHtwCUB3YzfMjU/img_20240325_093049.jpg)

Regarding this, there is an important point, and that is that we must move the branches carefully, they must not break, the leaves of the plant must not be left upside down. Otherwise that branch will die. It's happened to me before, so I'm learning from my own mistakes, while I tell you about it in the process.

![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmW6grkJaQXzAMXAdEYjgmthM6Qb7sXV72EyCwunrdWfxM/img_20240325_093034.jpg)

In addition to this, there were also plants to transplant, such as **liberator**, which is medicinal. Mom used it to reduce the swelling in my knees once. But, this time, the small plant was trapped by the pumpkin plant. I had to do something about it.

![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmNT5vvMMzFvnPGGfn1dRiwsthaWqeY2USyT3fzK2421BB/img_20240325_092117.jpg)

>Throughout the entire process my cat Misu, in his most aesthetic way, has gotten into the flowers of **beautiful at eleven**. So take advantage of photographing it. Going out to the garden means that the cats accompany me everywhere. That's feeling very loved.

I took it out, I noticed that it had a *child*, so I was very happy, our plant is growing. so that I placed it in a place where it could grow peacefully.

![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmVcqm9vbubGFM6X45Sybs59xK6uL8yP3kLaRj53cn3KdG/img_20240325_093029.jpg)

I also did the same with the **bad mother**. I have a special affection for it, mom gave it to me, so it was in one of my best pots. She grew up a lot, she also had a *son*. With him I understood the name of the plant, because his mother threw it out of the pot. He had been this way for a while, surviving the elements. She hadn't had time to dedicate to the garden, until today.

As I have seen that it has several *children* that are born through its leaves, it seemed interesting to place it on the ground. I have a small free space, where I want to place several small plants, including this one, and the **liberator**, I want to get another different species so that it looks more attractive and green.

Or maybe... Add a flowering plant. I love the colors, so it would be perfect.

---

If you think that's it, you're wrong!

We have also made other changes. I have several small **dragon flower** plants, we will soon be in bloom, so I want them to be ready so I can admire their beauty.

These plants were scattered in various pots and containers. The reason is that when my cats were very small they played in the plants without any awareness, thus leaving a mess in their wake. The mother plant broke, and the next one too, I thought it wouldn't stop happening. Until I divided them into several places, climbing them to a high place.

![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmRC2Atst828WwYCdHKkBwBNqsHykYTaBk4zEvCFA6od1w/img_20240325_095141.jpg)

They have grown, they are beautiful. So it's time to reunite the **dragon flower** tribe. The flowering period is approaching, and everyone together must be part of this event.

>The **dragon flower** came along with the **bad mother**, mom didn't know it, neither did I. Until I took it and planted it in a different place than each one. From there, both of them have not stopped surprising me with their beauty. So both have been with me for the same amount of time.

![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmUjLA5abh2MpynDFSGKK5uEkwut3q37b8sevmLzGfVDqy/img_20240325_103605.jpg)

Use the **bad mother** pot that had been left empty. However, I had to remove all the dirt and put in new dirt.

>I have a small infestation of toads at home. I have realized that they affect my plants. Please if you have any advice I would greatly appreciate it. I don't want to hurt them, I don't touch them either because they scare me very much.

![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmPzWcB6LYciG7pPuDyUPNQ5tm3PVYxnPMKbZZMqpbBiES/img_20240325_094447.jpg)

To do this I went to the patio, deep and far away, where we have a small mountain to use for plants. I took advantage of the trip to fill the pot with a new plant that came home, in which the toads have left a hole larger than the craters on the moon.

![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmTXkjLhNmLxeEH82Pnpose8ZtXK13GbmDWX5VX7ukDSpn/img_20240325_094721.jpg)

>Carrot is a very affectionate cat. If I place my hand on the ground, he goes and caresses it; If I go to look for land, it goes and comes closer; If I sit on the patio floor, she goes and lies down behind me, or climbs on my legs. So this post would not be complete without the support of these little furry ones.

![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmYUTmr2xDWicLbRh3hVsgUNgTe6MDtnXE5b8HPFwV4Vhy/img_20240325_094915.jpg)

Throughout this process I have used two (2) very useful tools, which are this beautiful *shovel* and a kind of *hand pick*, is it called that? I don't know. What I am sure of is that it is very good at opening holes in the ground. Also use as a last resort a ¨spade screwdriver*, it is unusual, but, good at gardening, carefully remove the **dragon flower** from the small pots.

>The screwdriver is also good for loosening soil in pots. In this way, by moving it we make them absorb the nutrients better. I use the *slotted screwdriver*, specifically, because I think I may damage the point of the *slotted screwdriver*.

With this we are done for today. But...

---

![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmeyde42kRZfERMkSf4TDYgrur8zoc2dPZVcGZEBSyxVCv/img_20240325_103601.jpg)

Before showing you the final result, I wanted to tell you that some plants have changed places.

I have a theory that plants are capricious, they need you to move them from time to time because they no longer feel comfortable where they are. So I have moved all the potted ornamental plants close to these that I have transplanted. They form a kind of mini-forest, quite interesting.

Thus giving a nice touch to the garden. Maybe many butterflies will come to enjoy the beauty.

![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmYN4iQK66ToCNKfYDMKtGx2CFKYjtQeH2Uu6G1QBt6D12/img_20240325_103618.jpg)

It also seems to me that by doing this I give the pumpkin plant more space, preventing it from destroying everything in its path.

Now, that's all for today. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. My plants, my beloved cats and I wish you a happy week.

I was very curious about the **"bad mother"**, the photo says a lot about this plant, she literally threw her little one out of the pot 😲 how fascinating is nature and every day it surprises more and more.

Reading your post, I begin to understand why all the plants I bought, died, there is a lot of care that I am ignoring.

You have a very nice and varied garden, the cats are the perfect ornament hehe

It has also happened to me, before I had more species. Many died because I did not pay attention to what they needed. Even in the last two years, when I started fertilizing, moving the soil, moving them around, and that kind of thing.
Thank you! I'll tell you, they love appearing on my blog jajajaja
