## Enjoying my Saturday with my family on International Jazz Day  This Saturday weekend has been super cool, because we went out to share with family and enjoy a free concert in a shopping mall in town, this concert was made to celebrate the **International Jazz Day.** My husband and I got ready to leave and the kids were already waiting for us at the place, we arrived an hour early, so first we decided to have a snack.  We shared some delicious pizzas and a hot dogs. Since we already had lunch this was really just an excuse to partake.  Then we arrived at the donut shop, it is very famous in my city, it is called Dey Donuts and it's a place I've known since I was a child, I've always liked the donuts they prepare there.  There were many donut options, we decided on a nuttella filled donut and a simple one with chocolate.  Absolutely the chocolate hazelnut stuffing is the best, I enjoyed it very much.  After sharing these delicious desserts we sat near the stage to watch the concert.  Here musicians were testing the sound and it was already spectacular.  The concert began with the band **Pablito Alfaro Jazz trío.** The first song they played had a very Latin energy because they played the musical piece "Llorarás" by the singer Oscar De León, Master Leo Fernandez on drums, Master Juan Esteban on bass and Pablo Alfaro on electric guitar. This first performance filled the place with energy. Then they performed another piece called "Beatríz", very soft and full of feeling. To continue they made us enjoy a song titled "Por alguien como tú", heard a lot in the 60's and 80's in my country, a romantic song like Bolero, but at the rhythm of Jazz was amazing. To finish this trio gave us the piece of Willie Colón, American singer of Puerto Rican origin, called "Idilio" giving it a masterful touch with a drum solo.  To continue with this Jazz Party, the second band called **InstanJazz** was featured, this band was formed by masters of music of great trajectory.  In addition, in their presentation we were gifted with the great vocal interpretation of several songs by Soprano Blanca Pulido, who did a Scat solo that was wonderful.  I felt for a moment like I was watching a protagonist of the Disney movie Soul, but in a sax version. Among my favorite songs of this band was the interpretation of "Samba en una sola nota" by Brazilian composer Antonio Carlos Jobim, a piece that I love for its rhythm.  To finish we were delighted with the gala participation of the Jazz Band **Barquisimeto Big Bang Jazz**, with young people who belong to the State Orchestra and musicians of great trajectory, among the great peculiarities was that the keyboardist of this band is blind and made an incredible solo with the keyboard. The pieces played took me to the cartoons of the 50's, it was inevitable to move the body to the rhythm of that music.  Incredibly they closed their presentation playing "New York New York" and to our surprise a dancer filled the stage with her movements.  I got to take a picture with two young members of this band and that made me feel very happy. At the end I decided to eat a delicious chocolate ice cream and so we went back home to continue enjoying a nice weekend.  ### Jazz is a magical music, it always makes me feel in a very special way and this time was no exception. It was a very fun and musical evening with the people I love.
