Most of the farmers ended up finding other jobs. That's how humanity evolve. We wouldn't have movies and video games if people were just farmers. AI will force people to become more creative and think creative. People who go to college expecting to secure a job will be utterly screwed and that's  a good thing because those places are just brainwashing facilities that kill off all the imagination and critical thinking.

Who's going to write poetry and make movies? Who's going to improve the tech and develop AI. Life is more than eat,sleep, procreate and die. Farmers must have never thought of Star Trek, Starcraft, Space Travel, VR, Blockchain, Submarines, man made islands, mobile phones, teleporters, space colonization, Faster than Light travel, holograms etc etc etc.

Through the history the great minds and artists and creative sparks around the globe suffered and was let down. Finally it's payback time. Most of the works of the college kids will be handed over to machines and a person's own creativity and intelligence will become what decide that person's standing in the society. That almost sound Utopian to me.

I just sincerely hope that AI would be kept out of wars and get used to replace repetitive non-creative obs instead of replacing soldiers.
