The life that exists after the day has ended contrasts heavily the sunlit toil. Who knew that two people could sleep on the same bed but reside worlds apart mentally?
Always positioned to easily glance at the ball she once bounced gleefully through her younger years, she ponders on the reality that engulfed her absolutely. The notes on wing reach her but it seems that their fate remains as sealed as the words within. Maybe she yearns to cling to the person lying next to her and stifle her adulterous side.....or maybe she wishes and hopes that her attempts at transparency exalt a past relationship.
There are a few conditions that could make a man ignore the warmth of a woman, especially if she does not present herself in clothing. Could it be that he lacked the emotional support that men often deny needing? When did the drinking start? Before or after the miscommunication and other episodes that rots self-esteem could it be? At least he managed to dress his table befitting the patronage of someone he holds dear.
If isolation is now their trend I can only hope that they dream of reestablishing that closeness.......by deciding to use the ball, table, glasses and drink in a revised game of beer pong! Let the alcohol mellow their vibes.
