| body | "Welcome to today's episode of "Daily dose of Scripture with Kodeblacc". We are now in day 4, and almost getting to 1 week since I decided/started to share a verse of Scripture daily. I'm grateful to God for the grace to be committed to doing this. Like I said one time, the edification I get from sharing these verses are what I count as my blessing.
Yesterday, I shared a verse that talked about loving God wholeheartedly; which is something we are required to do. Loving Him with our heart, soul, and strength.
The verse of Scripture that I'll be sharing today is related to our careers and businesses;

> Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.
Proverbs 16:3 AMPC
I like how this verse of scripture is translated in the amplified classic edition. It explicitly passes the information that King Solomon intended.
In this verse, we are urged to commit our plans to God. And since He can't fail, our plans are bound to succeed. The verse is simply urging us to seek God's opinion in our plans. Not just business or career plans, but in virtually everything.
Most times, we feel we are smart enough to venture into anything we wanted to do. To be honest, judging from human perspective, we could be smart enough to setup businesses. But the question is; does it align with God's plan for my life? Is this what God wants me to do? We can't know the answers to these questions if we don't first seek His opinion on the matter.

Anything God doesn't validate in our lives is bound to reap failure. That's why you see some believers today struggling in their businesses and career, and while their struggles can be caused by several factors, one factor that could be present is that they didn't commit the business into God's hands or didn't seek his guidance on the matter.
Today, I could have been doing other things than photography. I'm a graduate of pure and applied physics. There are many things that I could have done with my degree, and the skill sets that I've acquired. But then I sought God's opinion for a chosen career, and He supported it. Today I'm a photographer, and I know I'm blessed doing it.

I wonder if I'd have been this successful if I was doing something else.
The call to commit the works of our hands to God, and seeking His opinion isn't a onetime thing. It should be done on a daily basis. Before you set out to your place of work or business, seek the face of God, and allow Him guide you on what to do. The scriptures cannot lie and has assured us that whatever we commit into God's hands and He validates will be established/successful.
It is my hope that as we read this today, we'd learn to commit our plans, thoughts and actions wholly to God.
