En el artículo anterior dije que aún quedaba mucho más por contar sobre los rumores que giran en torno a la película del Hombre Araña, la cual está iniciando su rodaje en estos días, es por ello que en esta publicación voy a hablar sobre uno de los más sólidos rumores que están rodando ahora mismo, me refiero a la posibilidad de ver muy pronto a Miles Morales en una versión live action y que probablemente eso ocurra en la próxima entrega del Spider-Man de Tom Holland.
Actualmente el segundo más popular entre los personajes que han portado el traje de Spider-Man en los diferentes formatos (Comics, TV, Cine...) es Miles Morales, un chico originario de Brooklyn, Nueva York, que es hijo de padre afroamericano y madre puertorriqueña, al que una araña genéticamente modificada le inocula una sustancia que le otorga poderes equivalentes a los adquiridos por Peter Parker.
Recientemente (en 2019) Sony Pictures Animation produjo el largometraje animado Spider-Man: Un nuevo universo, el cual obtuvo un gran éxito, tanto en taquilla como en reconocimientos por parte de la crítica y el público, siendo galardonado con varios premios, entre ellos el Óscar a mejor película animada. De modo que se ha convertido en un personaje bastante popular en la actualidad.
Al igual que el Spider-Man de Peter Parker, todos sus villanos y demás personajes secundarios, los derechos cinematográficos de este segundo Spidey, también se encuentran bajo el control legal de Sony Pictures y esta empresa parece estar interesada en expandir mucho más su Universo Marvel y llevar a Miles Morales a una versión de acción real para el cine o en su defecto para TV en Streaming lo más pronto que le sea posible.

El hecho de tratarse de un personaje de piel morena y ascendencia latina hace que su presencia contribuya a proporcionarle mayor diversidad racial al UCM y por tanto parece lógico que Marvel Studios no oponga resistencia ante la iniciativa de Sony de comenzar a desarrollar a este superhéroe en sus largometrajes, aunque en realidad no conocemos lo que pasa detrás del telón.
Como ya mencioné en el artículo anterior, Sony Pictures y Marvel Studios han estado trabajando de forma coordinada en todo lo que se relaciona con el superhéroe arácnido, por lo tanto, para que Miles Morales haga su aparición en el Universo Marvel de Sony, debería encajar con la narrativa que se ha desarrollado con Spider-Man dentro del Universo Cinematográfico de Marvel (UCM). Por supuesto que la utilización de este personaje por parte de Sony no debe ser un motivo de discordia, lo que sí podría ser causa de controversia es su debut precisamente en esta nueva entrega que está ahora mismo en desarrollo.
El problema está en que Peter Parker aun es bastante joven y lo más fiel a la historia que ya conocemos de los comics, sería que se dé un poco más de tiempo para que este Spider-Man se vuelva más adulto y maduro, volviéndose un superhéroe de larga trayectoria al cual pudiera venir a reemplazar Miles Morales. Pero, tampoco es que nada este escrito en piedra, ya vimos como la tía May del UCM es mucho más joven de lo que estábamos acostumbrados a ver en las adaptaciones anteriores.
En el UCM ya tuvimos una pequeña mención de Miles, ya que su tío Aaron Davis, quien en los comics asume la identidad de Prowler, tuvo una breve aparición en la película Spider-Man: De regreso a casa y en una de sus escenas realizo una llamada telefónica a un sobrino suyo al que llamo Miles, pero se supone que este debe ser aun un niño o preadolescente al que le faltarían algunos años para convertirse en superhéroe.

De ese modo, Miles podría tener un corto cameo en este largometraje, lo cual me parece que será lo que probablemente termine ocurriendo, con el fin de introducir al personaje y preparar el terreno para una futura película en la que él sea o bien el protagonista en solitario o un coprotagonista junto a Peter, el de su propio universo o quizá el Peter que ya conocemos en el UCM.
Por el contrario, le concedo poca probabilidad a la idea de que ambos personajes compartan el protagonismo en esta tercera entrega de Spider-Man e igualmente a la idea de que ambos pertenezcan al mismo universo, pero tampoco estoy diciendo que lo descarte por completo, ya que en una película basada en comics cualquier cosa puede ocurrir.
Para finalizar, creo conveniente mencionar que aún no se ha definido ningún actor para encarnar a este personaje, obviamente de forma oficial no se ha dado a conocer ningún interprete para este papel, ya que de ser así entonces también tendríamos confirmada la versión live action del mismo, pero lo que si ha venido circulando son las afirmaciones de que ya habría sido contratado un actor para este trabajo, pero que aún me mantendría en secreto, aunque por supuesto es solo un rumor más sin confirmar, al menos por el momento.
