Yes, <i>Captain Marvel</i> is set to hit theaters on July 8, 2022, which seems far away, but the movie is starting to take shape.
The movie is shaping up to be really awesome, but the newest most exciting part is the script. Megan McDonnell is the screenwriter for the movie. At first I was concerned because she seems to have very little writing experience. Last week came the evidence that she is brilliant, she wrote the script for episode 3 of <i>WandaVision</i>. That episode was brilliant. It had more of a sinister vibe than an action vibe, but that is what the show requires and she did it in an awesome way. So yeah, now I am super excited that she is writing the script for <i>Captain Marvel 2</i>.
You know what else episode 3 of <i>WandaVision</i> had? An actress that will appear in <i>Captain Marvel 2</i>. This is a tiny <b>spoiler</b> for <i>WandaVision</i>. Teyonah Parris who plays Geraldine inside of the fake reality that Wanda lives in, actually plays Monica Rambeau. Yes, that little girl from <i>Captain Marvel</i> is all grown up now. In the comics she is her own superhero, so there is a chance she will become one on the big screen as well. Either way, Monica Rambeau is officially part of the Captain Marvel part of the MCU.
And as you know from the really long investor presentation, another famous Captain Marvel fan will join her on the big screen: Ms. Marvel. Iman Vellani will play Kamala Khan a.k.a. Ms. Marvel who we will come to know in her <i>Disney+</i> show. She will appear on the small screen first and then step up to the big screen. Which makes sense as she is Captain Marvel's biggest fan.
Ms. Marvel won't be the only show leading up into <i>Captain Marvel 2</i>. <i>Secret Invasion</i> staring Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as Talos will be lead straight to <i>Captain Marvel 2</i>. It makes sense, aliens were a big part of the first movie and they will be a big part of the second movie as well. You can't find someone strong enough to fight Carol Danvers, so you need someone sneaky. I think this is setting up <i>Captain Marvel 2</i> in a very interesting way. It can be a really good action thriller, with the baddies looking like humans when they are not. Basically the premise that they were setting up in the first movie, but never fully used.
The director Nia DaCosta comes from the horror genre, which usually leads to excellent results in superhero movies. The trailer for <i>Candyman</i> looks so good that I am sure it is the reason she got this movie. Hopefully she will bring some horror into the movie, along with a more unique style that will fit the current style in which <i>Marvel</i> is in. The first movie was just a little generic, even though it was a lot of fun.

Em 2019, o déficit havia sido de US$ 50,697 bilhões (2,70% do PIB) nas transações correntes, que são as compras e vendas de mercadorias e serviços e transferências de renda do Brasil com outros países.
Segundo o chefe do Departamento de Estatísticas do BC, Fernando Rocha, os resultados do ano são bastante diretos e foram impactados pela pandemia de covid-19. “A pandemia global causou uma recessão no país, na demanda por bens e serviços importados, e gerou redução no déficit de transações correntes, principalmente em serviços e renda, com a redução em viagens internacionais e em lucros e dividendos, nesse último caso, por causa do impacto na atividade comercial”, disse.
Os dados foram apresentados junto com as <strong><a href="https://www.bcb.gov.br/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">estatísticas do setor externo</a></strong> de dezembro de 2020. De acordo com o BC, após oito meses consecutivos de superávit, as transações correntes foram deficitárias em US$ 5,393 bilhões no mês passado, ante déficit de US$ 4,653 bilhões em dezembro de 2019.
<h3>Balança comercial</h3>
As exportações de bens totalizaram US$ 210,669 bilhões em 2020, com recuo de 6,7% em relação a 2019. As importações somaram US$ 167,439 bilhões, queda de 9,7% na comparação com o ano passado. Com esses resultados, a balança comercial teve superávit de US$ 43,230 bilhões no ano passado.
O déficit na conta de serviços (viagens internacionais, transporte, aluguel de investimentos, entre outros) atingiu US$ 19,923 bilhões em 2020, redução de 43,2% em relação do déficit de US$ 35,066 bilhões em 2019.
No caso das viagens internacionais, as receitas de estrangeiros em viagem ao Brasil chegaram a US$ 3,044 bilhões, enquanto as despesas de brasileiros no exterior ficaram em US$ 5,394 bilhões. Com isso, a conta de viagens fechou o ano com déficit de US$ 2,350 bilhões, o menor déficit desde 2006, quando foi de US$ 1,4 bilhão.
“Desde abril do ano passado, a redução em viagens ficou na faixa de 80% a 90%. Os voos internacionais foram um dos setores mais afetados pela pandemia e até agora estamos tendo notícias de restrições”, disse Rocha. “Também contribui para isso [resultado da balança comercial] a desvalorização cambial. Isso torna os gastos de residentes no Brasil, os gastos que fazem no exterior, mais caros”, completou.
<h3>Rendas</h3>
Em 2020, o déficit em renda primária (lucros e dividendos, pagamentos de juros e salários) chegou a US$ 38,181 bilhões, 33,3% inferior aos US$ 57,272 bilhões em 2019.
A conta de renda secundária (gerada em uma economia e distribuída para outra, como doações e remessas de dólares, sem contrapartida de serviços ou bens) teve resultado positivo de US$ 2,358 bilhões contra US$ 1,168 bilhão em 2019.
<h3>Investimentos</h3>
Os ingressos líquidos em investimentos diretos no país (IDP) somaram US$ 34,167 bilhões (2,38% do PIB) no ano passado, ante US$ 69,174 bilhões (3,68% do PIB) em 2019. De acordo com Rocha, da mesma forma que a pandemia impactou as transações correntes, com a melhora na balança comercial e redução do déficit de serviços, também a mesma causa reduziu os investimentos diretos.
Quando o país registra saldo negativo em transações correntes, precisa cobrir o déficit com investimentos ou empréstimos no exterior. A melhor forma de financiamento do saldo negativo é o IDP, porque os recursos são aplicados no setor produtivo e costumam ser investimentos de longo prazo. Apesar de os investimentos estarem menores, no acumulado do ano, o IDP supera o déficit nas contas externas, que também se reduziu por conta da crise gerada pela pandemia.
Em 2020, houve saída líquida de investimento em carteira no mercado doméstico no total de US$ 8,499 bilhões contra US$ 6,693 bilhões de saída líquida em 2019. No caso das ações e fundos de investimento, houve saída de US$ 8,541 bilhões. Já os investimentos em títulos de dívida tiveram entrada líquida de US$ 41 milhões. O estoque de reservas internacionais atingiu US$ 355,620 bilhões em dezembro de 2020, redução de US$ 1,6 bilhão em comparação a dezembro de 2019.
