https://medium.com/the-mission/clean-energy-powered-by-blockchains-a33c179eac3c An Interesting take on things, ideas for using the blockchain to change the world in many ways seems to become more and more prominent these days! Although it's not something explored much as of yet, the idea of running an energy network processed by the blockchain is certainly an exciting and potentially efficient use case for blockchain technology in the future!  From what I can make of it, the article basically takes to the concept of people down the line having they're own solar and wind generating equipment and distributing it throughout a blockchain and energy network. Considering this equipment can be bought relatively cheap these days, it could be something that may be useful down the line especially with the development of battery technology and new efficient methods of harnessing energy naturally. Also, something interesting too in which could be used with this: https://www.tesla.com/solarroof (powering a house/ houses with a huge battery and a roof that looks like a normal roof but is actually made up of loads of small solar panels)  Thoughts?

I think so too, I mean the implementation if this will be extremely difficult. But if something like this actually works out in the long run it could be insanely useful

All the energy companies are starting to look at blockchain for peer to peer energy trading which they expect to be big in the long term. Also for trading further up the value chain and for car charging stations to be interoperable. I work sometimes in the energy sector. I love it, i am a big fan of solar and crypto (i have some posts on solar, EV, and crypto rigg we have). I have a solar system myself and as well as an electric car. I use a grid-tie battery less system since batteries are so expensive. The rigs are run off of solar energy as well :oD Anyway, love the idea
