This isn't meant to be a FUD comment, I'm very positive about crypto in the long term, but... Am I reading too much into this (only been in crypto space since early Nov 17), but if it turns out Bitfinex/Tether have been pumping the market for months and Tether has been used to prop up the falling price, then maybe $6k to $7k is fair price for Bitcoin (and where it would have been)? If that's the case, and Bitfinex & Tether both disappear, causing Mt Gox style crash, couldn't Bitcoin dip below $5k? I have no doubts about blockchain, and I am hodling & investing at the lows, but just feels like the sentiment might be turning and the loudest voices of support are from those with the most to lose.

i'm not doing any panic selling even if it is going to $100 i will HODL this coin which i believe there is all time is coming ,this was just the crash as usual we have seen in the past history of bitcoin where it falls in the January month ,no new things happen so just HODL your positions cheers.

LOL! I know, I know. If it looks like FUD, and it sounds like FUD... But it is a serious question. As I say, I'm very positive about blockchain, and crypto, and all that's happening at the moment is mainstream media & financial institutions threatened by blockchain creating the FUD, making the weak hands fold, but Tether <i><b>could</b></i> go south.

Ridiculous. Expressing any concern in any rational sentiment for any coin or anything related to crypto... the drooling mouths shout "FUD!!!!" In bigboyland, there is room for speculation and criticism. This atmosphere of "FUD" is just as ridiculous as European countries rewarding negative talk of Holocaust (and lawyers who defend those accused) with prison time.
