I think it is difficult for something to be used for payments once the value goes above a few dollars because it requires a greater cognitive load in calculating the prices and creates a psychological boundary (unless it is an even round number like each coin is worth $100).

It can be done. Also imagine what the USD look like in JPY ,KRW or IDR. 1 USD in Indonesian rupiah (IDR) is around 13,000. I would think bitcoin would be like that in the future
