Bitshares is a powerful decentralized platform that can offers with variety of tools. One of Bitshares platform major uses is to create a token for individuals or group who wants to put their business or idea on blockchain using token creation on Bitshares platform. Besides from token creation Bitshares platform also has the most advance and powerful decentralized exchange that can process almost <b>10 trx/s</b>.

But being the best doesn't mean it's the most expensive blockchain.

Even with all of this Bitshares platform barely reaches most of investors due to most overvalued and most advertised blockchains that's monopolizing the cryptocurrency industry. Frankly speaking most investors doesn't know what is cryptocurrency is, all they know is that investing in _Bitcoin_ or _Ethereum_ can give them huge profit someday. Because of that they are most focused on popular assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum. Also Bitshares platform is run by bitshares investors that are nominated by Bitshares holders for the position of committees. These committees are the one responsible what changes are needed to be applied on the Bitshares platform. They are also the ones who has control over the funds on the Bitshares platform where it will be used. For example, Bitshares UI upgrade, advertisement or rewards. 

## Advertising Bitshares

Even with the hard working committee of Bitshares, it's quite difficult for them to reach out every interested investors into joining the Bitshares platform. Especially those who don't have any idea what are blockchains. The only thing they know is Bitcoin and easy money.

Besides from the committee there are few active people that are sharing information about Bitshares on social media like twitter and facebook. These people are investors on the Bitshares platform that "are not paid" to advertise Bitshares, they are doing this because they believe in the power Bitshares that are _more advance than ethereum and Bitcoin_. Like me, _I am advertising Bitshares on my freewill_, I am not paid to advertise Bitshares because I too believe that Bitshares is the one blockchain that can topple them all.

I'm telling this because most people doesn't know that Bitshares is governed by people that are nominated by investors on the Bitshares platform, unlike other centralized platform that are runs by CEOs. People who advertise Bitshares are doing it because of their enthusiasm.

## Bitshares is like a roller coaster ride

Investors on centralized exchanges like Binance and Poloniex who bought Bitshares rarely knows what are the uses of Bitshares. By using your Bitshares as collateral on the Bitshares platform you can then loan USD in the form of smart asset bitUSD to buy assets or use it anyway you want. 

By loaning on smart assets like bitUSD on the Bitshares platform you need to use at least 1.75 equal amount of value using your Bitshares as collateral. Some investors are using this to buy more Bitshares especially on `bullish market`. By buying Bitshares with their loaned bitUSD, they buy Bitshares and sell them at higher prices to increase their portfolio. Upon paying your debt "you only need to pay the exact amount of bitUSD, not the total amount of Bitshares you've bought with your bitUSD". Because of this technique, the Bitshares price surges faster than other assets on bull market. But, this can also cause Bitshares to fall more.

Some investors maximize the amount of smart assets they can loan hoping that they could earn more. Let's be honest, there's no such thing as market always getting up, the market moves like waves that rises and fall. For those who don't know the risks of loaning smart assets, when ever your collateral doesn't satisfy the 1.75 collateral, Your collateral will be forced liquidated, meaning that you'll be force to exchange your Bitshares at a lower price, plus you have to pay for your loan. Sounds scary? Yes,  I was margin called once and lost 75% of my total assets. What's worst is that the remaining got kidnapped by the SEC when I invested it on AriseBank. Let's proceed to getting margin called, sometimes when Bitshares price drops too fast it creates a chain reaction that causes people to get called one by one making Bitshares price to fall lower even though the market only suffers 30% the Bitshares already loss 50% of it's market cap. This is what exactly happening right now on Bitshares. Forcing investors that are called to sell their assets at lower price bringing the Bitshares price to collapse especially when some whales got called, forcing their hundreds of thousands or even millions of Bitshares to be sold at a lower price.

Sometimes being the most powerful blockchain hardly reaches the top when it comes to price. People who wants nothing but greater good for the platform getting called and greedy whales sorting Bitshares to gain more even though they have enough are getting more. If only all the whales shares the same goal like them who HODL, Bitshares might be able to reach the top 10 crypto coin.
