@tonypeacock is it possible to have a smart contract on Bitshares? Like on Ethereum. Just wondering if I should create a token on Bitshares instead of using the Sh*tty Ethereum Network.

If you are simply looking to create a token you can create a User Issued Asset (UIA). It really depends on what you are trying to do. Take a look at the following page https://bitshares.org/.
