I am also sceptical, once you have some Bitcoins in your wallet I am not sure if you want to carry the phone with you outside. I would probably prefer to have it on a ledger at my bank box.

On the other hand, for quick funds transfer in a world that accepts crypto for general payments, this would indeed be a big step. It could be NFC / ApplePay 2.0

Phone wallets are the future, but 2 factor is a necessity, and also we all need to take security very seriously, and right now, we dont all take it seriously.

That's right, the future is here !. I read earlier this year about the phone presented by SIKUR, with an integrated cryptocurrency wallet. It has the ability to store cryptocurrencies in the Sikur cloud and is hack-proof for Bitcoins. Another news, Sirin Labs unveiled to blockchain-powered phone, the Finney phone will also let you store and shop with virtual currencies.

Making a phone that's a Bitcoin or Ethereum full node is very difficult. Not sure how do they plan to do this. Some sort of light client protocol?

Woah, that's great news! Everyone has smartphones these days, so creating phones that are blockchain ready is only going to bring in more and more people into cryptocurrencies! This is very exciting :)

I find phone wallets sketchy because.

i could easily lose my phone

phones break faster than computers

and phones are easier to hack into, or get stolen.


But i know you can get security for these things and backups.


But the real problem is that i would be without my wallet until i get a new phone xD
