I think you're being too hard on yourself, this type of job is very demanding and even in an office environment without proper training or some similar experience it is very hard to succeed. The people calling at Customer Support are irritated even before starting to wait for someone to answer, and on top of that, a hot-head, it's a hot-head, no matter the circumstances, and he can't wait for the moment to start screaming. Customers are always ~~right~~ full of shit.

Yeah, I mistakenly thought I would be capable of doing it because I've worked in a retail environment before, have handled general customer queries and irritation before, in person and over the phone, and it really seemed like something pretty much anyone can do. I don't have a thick enough skin though for such back-to-back irritation. It's definitely a job that *anyone* can do, but not *everyone* can do it. It's all good though! Yesterday I was beating myself up about it, very disappointed in myself, but today I'm much better. Cheers!
