An interesting option for consideration. I like it but I can hear all the anti-inflation arguments flying thick and fast. I have similar concerns to you and have expressed my preference as taking 10% out of the total reward pool to begin with and then leaving the rest to be distributed exactly as it is now. Everyone takes a small but equally proportional reduction in payout, steem moons from all the awesome developments that should flow from this funding, everyone wins proportionally in the long run.
