I've seen it many times. They go into mourning when one of their companions dies, or disappears. That's why I asked about Chompy. I read your update. Such wonderful news. I think Smash may be insulated against further wandering, this was so traumatic. They are both beautiful cats.

He seems a little traumatised; I can open the window and door and he still has zero interest in going out, which is not like him at all. But I'm not complaining! They really are so complex in their own simple little ways =)
